My unstable protagonist designs yipppeeee
(Notes under the drawings if you’re interested)
There are a few notes I want to make for each of my designs bc the outfits I drew on everyone was mostly geared towards season 1. If I have time, I want to do season 2/3 outfit changes for each of them bc I think that’s cool (some characters won’t change outfits. This is only applicable to characters who had major changes to their identity like parrot becoming king and stuff) but before all that I want to draw the dueteragonists and other side characters first.
Wemmbu:
I actually have a fully rendered version of wemmbus design as he was the first person I drew. I was originally gonna render everyone but that takes a lot of time and I have so much I want to draw (plus all my school work that I have to get through too) I ended up just doing flat colours on everyone😔
One thing I like doing with all my designs is leaving traces of other characters on the character to show their relation to said character. I just think it gives the designs a little more character. His cape was a gift from manepear when he was mentoring wemmbu. And the little emblem on his collar is from egg. (Egg has a matching emblem from wemmbu)
Parrot:
Please ignore the fact that his wings dont connect to his body i only realised this detail when I already finished drawing everyone.
I was really struggling between making his hair green like his skin or making it brown so I had my friends choose and they ended up choosing an in between look with both brown and green haha.
Flame:
I usually like to keep my designs as close as possible to their Minecraft skins but with flame, I decided to do something different because I wanted to give him a similar fit to manepear (manepear design coming soon trust). If u notice his cape is very similar to wemmbu’s bc it was also a gift from mane (I headcanon that mane and flame are brothers).
Another one of my headcanons for flame is that he is human unlike the other protagonist who are all half or non human. I did this because I think flame having the title of “immortal demon” while being human makes the title a lot more impactful than it already is, as humans are neither immortal nor powerful like demons.
One of the reasons why I decided to deviate from his Minecraft skin is that I realised a lot of the creators on unstable all wear hoodies and I want to have some variation in all their appearances bc if everyone wore a hoodie, the designs would rely too much on colours for recognising each character rather than their overall look (idk if Im making sense).
Hopefully people are still able to see flame in my design.
Spoke:
I think designing spoke was pretty easy because he’s extremely recognisable so I didn’t make many changes from his Minecraft skin.
The main thing I wanted to add to his design is his childish/boyish personality. Which is why I ended up giving him shorts to wear and leg warmers- to give him a little childish charm.
