An ant and fly disputed their respective merits. The fly boasted about being on royalty; the ant talked about toiling for a living. The ant won.

‘Law Law Law’ / ‘Czekając na miłość’
It’s a simple comedy with expressive characters that you can distinguish in historical costumes. Surrounded by beautiful castles and locations. Many hilarious scenes that are hard to forget. This movie also contains parts of theatrical art, musical, and all this with a large dose of cabaret.
Movie premiere took place in Theatre in Zielona Góra, 11-12th of May.
In the summer of 2018, I’ve got an offer to work as a set designer. I had to prepare sketches, plans, and paintings for the film set. I had to paint boards, build up the furniture, assemble beds out of nothing, paint royal arms on fabric and prepare scenography for the scenes.
Film work is not a simple task. It happened quite often that I had to change the whole scenography set really fast due to some problems on set. Some scenes could not be shot at the appointed time due to a change in weather or lightning. In such situations, I had to improvise and prepare the scenery for the next scene really fast. It often happened that we started to shoot in the morning and finished after midnight. Everyone on the set was tired and overworked. But it was worth it. Our team created something really special and worth our work.
I am grateful that I could experience working with such interesting people. I’ve learned a lot from this and I hope I will be able to do something like this one more time.
Artist Statement
I am a Fine Art second-year student at Aberystwyth University. I was born in Poland but I am currently living in Wales. As an artist, I want to express my thoughts and feeling through what I present to the world. I am aiming to connect my passion to book illustration and photography into my future work. My projects often contain multiple artworks within. As I am still developing my artistic skills and techniques I am not afraid to work in different styles and media. My work ranges through watercolor children's book illustration to unusual black and white photography. Furthermore, I do not feel the need to categorize myself and my art. I want my art to be unstable and experimental. Consequently, many of my projects were done by the accident and it is the reason that it made them so original and absorbing. I am rarely preparing myself for the projects through sketches and research. I aim to challenge myself with many takes on various forms to achieve what I need. Moreover, I often like to work with media I don't have much control on. My main digital project is called 'Dreamland'. Within this project, I have worked with unpredictable water and other liquids. My interest was focused on colors, lights and what I can achieve with the use of usual objects. I desire the viewers to be unsure of what they are looking at. I intend my art to leave a long lasting impression on the viewers. But besides the projects, I need to contribute to finishing my degree. I am trying my chances in a different artistic environment. In addition, the biggest project I've done was being a set designer at the 'Law Law Law' movie. Because of this experience I have gained confidence as an artist. Movie premiere took place in Zielona Góra in March 2019. Within this project, I could explore my artistic capabilities on various levels as painting, building with wood, adjusting the light and sew. My work does not have to be grouped into specific themes but every single one of them leads to creating the next one. And that's the most important aspect to me.
The 'Law Law Law' / 'Czekajac na miłość' movie set
Last Summer I had a chance to work on a movie set as a set designer. But one day we run out of movie extras. So our crew had to put on the costumes and start to act. Keeping a straight face in front of the camera and plenty of people behind the scenes is far from being easy. But for sure it was a great experience. And I would love to try this again in the future.

To create this piece I used flashlight and blue ink dissolved in water. There was no other light source in the room.
