Please stop claiming the Britney situation is purely about misogyny and google Brian Wilson ffs. Abuse within mental health systems and legal systems is a well-established phenomenon, it's not something that was invented in 2008.

The Spears situation is about a lot of things. Misogyny is part of it, but conservatorships only exist because of ableism and the money aspect of it can't be dismissed either. Without all those factors - and probably more besides - it wouldn't have happened.

This rush to prioritise gender over every other axis of oppression is why intersectionality had to happen in the first place yknow.
