I'm so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers. It would be terrible if we just skipped from September to November, wouldn't it?

The Cost of Staying
Sometimes it’s not that you didn’t want the job.
It’s that you wanted it too much. And now you're floating down some corporate river. Toward the wrong end of The Waterfall (TM).
You worked too hard. Put up with too much. Got good at things you never thought you’d be good at. Found your rhythm. Found your people. Maybe even started to believe you belonged there.
And then it changed.
Or maybe it didn’t. Maybe it was always like this and you just finally let yourself admit that the cost was too high.
That staying meant watching someone else get away with it. And shrinking a little bit each day. Or carrying your own silence like it was professionalism. Like it was maturity. Even strength.
But here’s the truth no one wants to put on a poster: Sometimes leaving is the only way to protect yourself.
And that doesn’t mean you failed. It doesn’t mean you weren’t strong enough. It means the place wasn’t safe enough.
And maybe that’s not the ending you deserved, but it’s not the end of your story either (the waterfall).
Writing, rehearsing, directing and shooting the music video for “The Fate of Ophelia” was the thrill of a lifetime because I got to be reunited with my Eras Tour family!! I wanted each one-take scene to feel like a live performance and remind us all of how it felt to be at those shows together. Making every moment count. It’s a journey through the chaotic world of show business. I loved working with Rodrigo Prieto, Ethan Tobman and Mandy Moore to dream up these visuals. A huge thank you to this massive cast who kept it 💯 and also kept the secret of this video even existing. It’s out on YouTube NOW!

5 years ago today, Taylor Swift gave Swifties all around the world a heart attack by surprise announcing her 8th studio album folklore!
The album's on-demand first-day streams were 72 million in the US! 'folklore' sold over 500,000 units, including 400,000 sales, in its first 3 days, becoming the first album to do so since Swift's own 'Lover'. It debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 and topped it for eight weeks, becoming the longest-reigning number-one album of 2020. Opening with 846,000 units, consisting of 615,000 pure sales and 289.85 million streams, it marked the largest sales and streaming weeks of 2020. Its first-week sales alone were enough to make it the year's best-selling album. It is hailed as her best work and made Taylor Swift the first woman to win Album Of The Year 3 times!
