I initially wanted to give him a more cheerful or curious look on his face, but for some reason, the idea of little Jr. with a somber look on his face as he gazes at something appealed to me more. As if, maybe he's accepting his role as future clan leader despite knowing the hardships...

But now, I wonder how it would have turn out if I made him be more cheerful here haha xD

Honestly, his droopy eye is so hard to draw for me, especially when I draw younger versions of him :'-)

Okay- I know I made a lot of empty DGM promises in the past, but I’m going to try to go through with this one. Here are characters from D Gray Man’s names I managed to find defined by 2006′s The Complete Book of Baby Names by Lesley Bolton and the 2008 by 60,001+ Best Baby Names by Diane Stafford. Why? Because I like name meanings and they could reveal a lot about the characters we love. Here we go.

Of course Lavi’s name would have something to do with uniting together. Cool that its Hebrew too. I think there is also a town called “Lavi”, I’m not sure…

This would probably be a variation Lenalee and Komui’s last name Lee. I’d say this name fits the two of them well as both have tremendous strength and are pretty sharp mentally.

However their actual last name “Lee” also has a more English variant (according to these books)

Which also suits their nature as siblings and people who want to help all they can. Perhaps Komui or the Order localized their last name assuming if the book is accurate on the common place of names.

There’s also this third variant which fits Lenalee and her innocence.

Apparently there’s this weird American version of Cross. Pretty sure it isn’t common but could this mean Cross is American? Probably not. Not too much revelation here I don’t think.

Cross’s last name I’ll leave up to interpretation.
