being in your early twenties is definitely the hardest time in most people’s lives, and i feel like this really doesn’t get talked about enough. suddenly, all of the pressure to figure out what to do with your life comes crashing down on you and it feels like all of the people telling you “don’t worry, you still have so much time!” are lying to your face. it’s easy to be consumed by this weight, especially when you see people your age with seemingly healthy and stable lives. but the funny thing is, the people who struggle the most usually turn out to be the most interesting, most empathetic, and most filled with life later on. someone who figured it all out before they turned 25 had no reason to ask the big questions, to dig deep within themselves, to yearn for something bigger, something greater. the hard parts are what make us who we are. if we all just settled for what we thought we should commit to in life, we all would have missed the bigger picture. each and every one of us should all be grateful for this struggle and glad that we haven’t given up yet
