“Yes,” Telemachus agreed without hesitation, his tone almost worshipful. Acrisios’s face twisted into a mixture of horror and disbelief. What in the name of Olympus am I listening to?
“Say it,” she demanded. “Say how worthless you are without me.”
“I’m Worthless,” Telemachus said obediently, his voice muffled but unmistakably…happy about it. That was it. Acrisios stumbled backward, his brain screaming at him to run. He didn’t care if he made noise or if they heard him—he needed to escape this nightmare immediately.
As he fled down the hall, he muttered to himself, “I need a drink. No, several drinks. Maybe a memory wiping potion. Gods help me, I’m surrounded by lunatics.” He didn’t stop until he was safely in his room, where he slammed the door shut and leaned against it, shaking his head furiously.
“Telemachus enjoys being degraded?” he whispered to himself in disbelief. “By y/n? Of all people?”
