okay this is really interesting and i spent a lot of time turning it around in my mind today

i have two options i like :

option one - neither of them can draw, they're both ultra shit at it

option two - elain can't draw for shit. lucien CAN and he's quite decent actually

option one is funny but option two is cuter. maybe he'd help elain visualise her garden plans

also i really like it in romance when there's one character who draws and they end up with an obscene amount of sketches of the other character (and lucien WOULD)
