I love the chess scene.

That might be my favorite scene in that movie. It definitely makes the top 10 scenes of Harry Potter list for me.

Tristan listened to her, nodding his head. She had been doing this a lot longer than he had, and he respected any advice she had for him. “Yeah, this not getting any sleep thing is really hitting me hard. I don’t want to do a half ass job, you know? I take this job very seriously and if I need to quit working at the bar, I will.” He nodded.

Layla nodded as she looked at him, finishing off her coffee. “You need sleep. No sleep means forgetting lines, messing them up consistently on set, oversleeping, a whole host of shit. Not that you do that now but I know someone who got fired for that.” She said and threw her cup away. “Something to think about.”

Thank you! It’s kind of a long story, but the short version is we got married in Vegas.

Oh, well sounds fun. Elvis or Cher? Or the drive-thru one? That sounds kinda fun to be honest.

“It is. Although, since I’m married now, I’ve totally used the excuse ‘I have to go home to my wife’.” He chuckled. “Yeah, my wife is trying to get me to consider at least lowering the amount of shifts I do at the bar…she wants me to sleep at least some. Once the show picks up even more I could probably afford to quit.”

“You should listen to her. Seriously, let me give you some advice. Sleep as much as you can, seriously. A good night’s sleep will help you so very much.” Layla said and sipped on her coffee. “It’s also the key to good skin.” She said and shrugged. “Sleeping is very important is the lesson here.”

“Well if you need anything, let me know.” Tristan said with a small smile. “Yeah, I feel you. My call time is normally six or seven depending on what we’re shooting, plus I have another job at a bar downtown.”

“That must be exhausting.” Layla said and looked over at him. “I couldn’t imagine having to go to another job after that. I used to nanny but I stopped that after I started to act again.” She said and shrugged. “Good for you though.”

“Oh, cool. I grew up everywhere, so I have no idea what that’s like.” He confessed, shrugging his shoulders. “You’re welcome.” He smiled, nodding his head. “Nice to meet you, too.” He said as he poured himself some more coffee. “Thank you, I appreciate it. When do you start filming with us?”

Layla offered him another smile before thinking for a second. “Tomorrow I think. I’m playing Sarah.” She said and nodded,, running her fingers through her hair and took a sip of coffee. “Bright and early call time for me.”

“I figured.” He teased, nodding his head. “That makes sense. I didn’t know you were from here. I’ve seen your work, though. You’re really great.” He said with a small smile. Tristan has never been the type to freak out over anyone, but he did really admire her work. “So when they said someone knew was coming in I figured I’d actually get to say hello before we started filming together, and I didn’t think that was going to happen as much as they’ve been working me lately. So hi, I’m Tristan. I don’t know how caught up you are on the show but I play Jacob.”

Layla nodded her head and offered him a smile. “Yup, born and raised here in Charleston.” She said and blushed a bit. “Well thank you, I appreciate that.” She said and laughed slightly. She had great pride in her work so she was happy that people seemed to enjoy her work. “It’s nice to meet you Tristan. “ She said and took a sip from her coffee. “Fairly caught up. I missed a lot during filming while I was gone. Well you play him very well.”
