ANGRY BALD WOMAN ATTACKS WITH GLOW STICKS, NEWS AT 11 A few photos from the Markster Conâs Bash of the Empire on Friday, in honor of Star Wars Day! Photos are by Leo Photography, though I did a few edits (I had forgotten my white contacts that night loloops). I didnât do a bald cap (you can see in the first photo) because I was hella tired from seeing Ultron the night before and WHATEVS.
Got a bout of con crud after Connooga, so started playing with some photoshop stuff and edited one of the shots from the Gotham shoot last year. One of my friends said it looked like a movie poster so WHY NOT. Now I'm a movie, huzzah.Â
The original photo was done by Leo Photography. Costume and whacked exploding edits by me haha. :)

Happy Hellidays? Just leaving the Momocon holiday party where I was Krimmus Hellboy again :) good times
So I never really posted any good shots of my StarLord helmet that I made for the premiere! I wore this the last day of GMX this year (behold the cuff of my leather jacket) and was outside at a panel and snapped this for fun.
I lucked out and found some red steampunk glasses that were exactly the right size for the eyes! I also have a light that sits just under them that can be turned on so they glow and look fairly convincing. Again, its not a high quality build (and you can see my big gauge that happened on the top when I was trying to clean an edge), but it is actually pretty comfortable and fun to wear :)
Just realized I never really posted any pictures of me specifically from the Bioshock stuff at DragonCon...! Here's my Big Sister, in her much better second rebuild at the DragonCon Aquarium Party this past year (2014)! Photos are credit to Victor Voyeur and an edited shot from a friend!
My Little Sister, Big Daddy, and Jack Ryan are from my lovely teambioshock group! Not sure on the individual names for the others in the big shot, but they were all fantastic
More of my stuff lives here!
COSPLAY WARNING: Donât order from Jim Logan Props!
(SOURCE: I Like Comics Too)
Hello, Internet! Iâm here with a very important public service announcement regarding one of the most notorious con artists in the cosplay community, âJim Loganâ of Logan Props and I Am Your Heroes. So, if youâre a cosplayer, aspiring cosplayer, cosplay admirer, photographer, entertainer, comic book fan or any combination of the afore-mentioned, please read the post below in its entirety. Iâll be talking about who this man is, why heâs built such a bad reputation, how he scammed me out of half a grand and the personal experiences of countless others. Here we go!
Arrest and reputation
So, whoâs Jim Logan? Well, heâs a cosplay prop-maker most known for dressing up like Wolverine. Obviously, Jim Logan isnât his real nameâitâs a take on âJames Howlettâ and âLogan,â aliases of the Wolverine character. No, no, Jimâs real name is David Eugene Winant Jr., and the reason he doesnât want you to know that is because, if you look him up, you find this as publicly available information.
David was arrested on a charge of theft, which comes as no surprise if you keep reading. See, David, like Wolverine, has a number of aliasesâJim Logan, Snikt Shop, Logan Props, iamyourheroes, Dave Produx, Outlaw Produx or Productions, etc. He keeps changing his name and business title because people keep catching on to his con. So whenever he finds himself in a bind, he erases his existence from the Internet and starts over to prey on cosplay newbies. Classy, right?
You can see in the arrest record above that his alias is âLogan.â Hereâs some proof that all these businesses are connected to him, too: the WHOIS for Outlaw FX/Produx and iamyourheroes route right back to âJim Logan.â
My personal experience
I was one of the cosplayers he preyed on. Let me preface this by saying: I know I messed up! I broke the golden rule of Internet transactions and failed to adequately research this person before I invested in his product. Thatâs my bad and I take full responsibility for it. That said, I feel itâs also my responsibility to ensure others avoid enduring the same experience, particularly because his penchant for changing names means he might be hard to keep track of or research in the future. So, as embarrassing as this is to admit, hereâs what happened to me (click the tab below):

Complaints from other customers
To give you a better sense of his character, along with being formally arrested for theft and conning me, âJim Loganâ has also ripped off a number of other folks. If you search âLogan Propsâ online, some of the very first results are complaints from past customers who never received the items theyâd commissioned or received them last minute and in poor shape. Here are just a handful of them.
The first is a warning from deviantArt:
There are even more bad reviews from that thread:
One
Two
Three
An entire post on Tumblr from a costumer named Phillip who was stiffed on several items.
Someone else owed pieces for a Scarlet Witch costume.
Identity Shift has been waiting for his Red Hood helmet for fifteen months and has only received snarky replies from âJim.â Meanwhile, âJimâ is actually making new Red Hood helmets⊠but only to sell in his online shop, rather than for a customer who paid for it in advance over a year ago.
Heâs repeatedly appeared on the Replica Prop Blacklist group.
There exists an entire forum thread of more than 45 pages dedicated to his practices, full of a ton of customer complaints.
Even 4Chan warns against this guy!
Then thereâs Christopher, who has been struggling to get the Iron Man gauntlet owed to him for some time now:
If thatâs not enough, you can just visit the Jim Logan Etsy (edit: his Etsy has since been deleted either because he didnât want the negative review to be public or because Etsy finally caught on to his scamâ are you surprised?), where a very recent review shows the exact same trend of âgoods not delivered.â
As you can probably tell, the situations are all very similarâa person commissions âJim,â âJimâ agrees and promises delivery usually by a specific date, customer pays, âJimâ fails to deliver and conveniently disappears or stops answering messages entirely. Brilliant.
I mean, âJimâ/David even has complaints filed against him in the Better Business Bureau, though youâll have trouble finding âem because he was clever enough to move from Florida to California this year, thus scrubbing traces of his previous incarnations from Florida records.
His reputation is so bad that he was removed from the Geekie Awards, a huge ceremony honoring creators where he was scheduled to act as a judge. They did their research regarding his business practices and nicked him from the panel:
Heâs been accused of recasting, as well, one of the worst things you can do as a prop-maker. To clarify, recasting involves taking another artistâs workâsay, a prop swordâand making a mold of it, then using that mold to produce identical copies that you subsequently sell off as your own original work. Iâm not a prop-maker (or I wouldnât be in this situation!) so I canât verify the truth of this claim, but given the many pages worth of discussion and evidence against him, collected by other actual professionals (some of whom claim he attempts to poach customers), Iâm inclined to believe he does so.
On top of it all, he overcharges for these alleged recasts, and the person from the following clip even claims he stole photos for his website in an attempt to bully.
What you can do
Bottom line: AVOID THIS PERSON. Do not do business with âJim Loganâ / David Eugene Winant Jr. / Snikt Shop / Logan Props / I Am Your Heroes / Dave Produx / Outlaw Produx or Productions or any other name he cooks up. Most importantly, share this post so that your friends and the cosplay community can hear the warning. Post this PSA on his Facebook as many times as you can so that potential clients can make informed decisions. Heâs going to try to fight back because, as is obvious by the screenshots and Christopherâs video above, he has a habit of getting rather rude and publicly passive aggressive when called out with the truth⊠but thatâs a hurdle Iâm willing to face because people need to know.

This is a man who willingly steals from people who save their pennies to cosplay superheroesâfigures that are supposed to embody righteousness. Heâs the antithesis of everything that the community stands for and he does not deserve the right kind of attention.
If you have any questions, please post them in the comments section below and Iâll try my best to answer. Thanks for reading and donât forget to share. PSA over!

This, sadly, is NOT the first time I've heard about this guy's scam. Looks like he recently changed his name again and was pulling the same tricks. Make sure you know who you're buying from!!
Cosplay Personality Meme!
Choose a character from your cosplays that best suits each one⊠You relate to most: Hodang, that's hard. Probably Ramona Flowers, honestly. I'm kinda quiet and sarcastic but I've had a string of bad boyfriends, including some that were abusive. Also, I have literally been a manic pixie dream girl for a few guys, and it sucks. My purse is actually a modified black/red Ramona bag haha The complete opposite of you: Rainbow Dash. I'm not really a badass, nor am I very sporty. She also has a LOT of confidence and brags a lot, and I actually have a lot of trouble coming to terms with my own successes, so thats deeeefinitely not me! We're both kinda boyish and thats about where it ends. The craziest: I mean, I guess the Bioshock splicer. They never really know where they even are sometimes, talking like people are still around and generally being freaky. The biggest flirt: Not really any of my characters I don't think? Dr Mrs The Monarch maybe. I don't ever flirt in costume-characters though. The hardest to stay in character: God, Bioshock Infinite's Elizabeth. She is SOOO Disney Princess and pretty and stuff and that just isn't me. I mean, I like to read a lot but the like... naivety and optimism and girliness is not how I roll.  Youâre most famous for being: Big Sister, most likely Your least favorite: Elizabeth. Like I said, I feel really uncomfortable just being sortof the Disney Princess type.  As a result I only wore her twice before I gave it away (and its the first costume I have ever given to someone else) You relate to their fashion sense: Bloody Mary comes the closest. Her costume is pretty much stuff I already had, and its pretty comfy. You strive to be like: Probably any of the characters I usually play: confident, determined, and cool. Let's go with Hellboy since he comes with a heavy dose of sarcasm and wit and has cool friends :D
Not tagging, but if you wanna do it, go for it!
Holy crap I got shared by⊠someone cool I suppose?? But Ammy is getting a lot of shares with sweet comments and Iâm smiling like a big loser at all the nice things youâve saidâŠ

My new Big Sister!!! And other stuff with mah Bioshock group :)
My Okami Amaterasu costume, worn at AWA 2014 and photos by Leo Photography! Good to finally have some nice pictures of this one :)
My leg braces looked hella ridiculous before I painted them (Googly eyes make good rivets)
Having the "oh god its almost DragonCon and nothing is ready and its not going to be ready because you have no idea what you're doing and this costume means everything to you" hopeless anxiety moment. D:
I made a thingâŠ! Just needs paint now
UPDATE: Paint has happened :B I dont have lenses, I'll need to order them... and its not the prettiest piece of prop work I've done, but for a 24 hour project before the movie premieres, I'm happy with it :)
