I had a fantastic day at the con meeting my friends and a bunch of you guys, it really helped my mental state A LOT and meeting cast was fantastic too. I’ll post pictures and videos on day 3 but right now I just want to send this message to everyone who is in or out of the fandom that when it getting too much you can leave anytime and focus on friends your own space that makes a community great or meet each other irl. It truly helped me a lot ♥️

Also don’t worry I’m planning to make more fan games I got my passion back

Had a really great panel yesterday at Momocon.

Myself @breanimator / @thethreetomes and my brother ToonrificTariq had a panel to discuss Indie Animation as Black Creators and share our indie series that we're working on. We talked about the development of our projects , why we chose to do our work independently and the future of indie and what this means in relation to us as Black creators specifically.

We both also showed some clips from our shows. He showed a bit of the animatic from the Hey pilot and I showed a early WIP sequence of Episode 2 of TTT.

And shared that our Kickstarter is coming for episode 2 on June 19th

A queer YA coming-of-age story about a black teen witch girl in the 2010s, fighting monsters and falling in love with vampires.

At the Panel , Tariq and I got to meet fans of our work individually and fans who enjoy both and folks who may not have seen our stuff discovered it and are now supporters . Folks gave fanart , he had his first cosplayer , I met some people who had done fanart for TTT online in person and it's just been really great getting to see that so many folks are touched by the shows we're making. That our stories mean something for Black folks and making them feel seen.

Support Tariq's Kickstarter too . He's reached his goal but he's got plenty of stretch goals to hit along the way

My fiance and I cosplayed Morgan & Emma for Momocon yesterday! We literally put this together in the span of like 3 days to accommodate our current hyperfixation and I’m so glad we did.

Might make a post detailing that process at some point, but I’m very proud of what we put together mainly using what was lying around in our closet.

Also we were pleasantly surprised to find a few other otd fans there! I prob would’ve made more hbk cards to hand out had I predicted that, but there’s always next time.
