CALLING ALL SINGLE LADIES! We've got some work to do. Desiring marriage & relationships is cool. Shoot, I want the marriage, the kids, and the picket fence; HOWEVER, we can't be so consumed with "finding him" that we forget HIM...Jesus Christ. He should be our main focus & he should get even more of our attention. I struggle with this a great deal, but it's time we get our priorities straight! Let's keep our eyes on HIM & not out of expectancy, but out of adoration, respect, and commitment to His will. Hola! Bienvenidos! [6.16.17] TODAY is my 25th birthday & the official launch of my online site, Layologie! Its been a long time coming & I am so excited to share this amazing news with you guys! For years, I've wanted to develop a brand around self-care, self-love, self-discovery, relationships, and everything else in between, so I'm overjoyed for this moment. Even if it's not in God's will for me to ever know/experience true love, I still want others to have that chance. If God opens the door to love in your life, I'm rooting for you! I'm rooting for pure happiness for you, an experience that brings you joy & grows you to new levels. If the Lord brings someone into your life, you deserve it. Don't question that. I know I'm late to the #DearWhitePeople phenomenon, but when I tell you I was on the floor filled with passion, anger, excitement, insight & a sense of urgency to do more, be more, and advocate more. Out of all the characters, Colandrea "Coco" Conners spoke to my very being. She was the epitome of strength, confidence, and vulnerability all wrapped into one. She possessed such an unapologetic ambition that highlighted her determination for success. I have those moments where I want to refrain from speaking my mind or sharing my perspective out of fear -- fear of judgment, misunderstandings, etc & trying to find that balance especially with the "wokeness" brigade. But, to share in those ah-ha moments that leveled up her character helped me to level up as well. Coco showed the world that there's power in femininity. You can be intelligent, successful, and STILL rock your Coco Chanel.
