Joker: Arthur Fleck (INFP)
Introverted Feeling (Fi): Arthur is a highly sensitive person, he often tries to find an identity or meaning to his existence viewing his life as a tragedy. His emotions are deep and personal. When someone talks bad at him, he can’t just shrug it off, he gets personally upset by it. Because of his childhood, his emotions are more explosive and his Fi isn’t as developed.
He can get upset if he sees an injustice in Gotham or something he doesn’t like and shown to be visibly upset. He is a sensitive soul and believes of making a better world.
He is very individualistic and often tries to find his identity or meaning in the world.
Extraverted Intuition (Ne): Arthur is often prone to daydream a lot in the movie like when he imagines Murray hugging him or of Sophie. He has a dream to become a comedian because he believes “He was put here to spread joy and laughter” as he says.
He embodies the persona of “The Joker” in his Ne-Fi loop and goes absolutely crazy killing Murray.
He daydreams of a better life for him and hates when the real world doesn’t give him that life or he has to struggle over it.
His killings aren’t planned, it mostly comes out on a whim or an intrusive thought that somehow comes true. He works as a birthday clown and thought of a persona there too called, “Carnival The Clown” just to cheer up the kids.
Introverted Sensing (Si): Arthur despite his illness often tries to ground himself and live a mostly routined life before his Ne-Fi loop as The Joker.
He writes his jokes in a journal. And also his thoughts and reflections of the world. He visits comedy clubs to observe other comedians and anazlye and write down each joke they are doing. His jokes are mostly prepared and rehearsed carefully prior to the show. He often reads through his long journals before telling the joke.
Arthur also is known to establish little routines in his life. He watches Murray Franklin every night. Whenever he is nervous or stressed, he always prepares small rituals and slow motion dance to help him cope.
Arthur often notices the grim harsh reality he lives in despite his constant daydreaming. He is introspective. His Si memories as a child is so traumatizing that he has to repress and bury it down, trying to make himself believe his narcissistic mother cares about him.
Extraverted Thinking (Te): Probably his most weakest function. Despite his dreams of wanting to be a comedian, he is shown to fail at it because either his jokes are too disturbing or there is no witty logic behind them. Because he lives in a fantasy world and not the practical everyday word of Gotham; his jokes land flat because it doesn’t make sense to anyone except Arthur.
He has a dream but he has no practical skills to achieve it in the real world. The end where he kills Murray and starts a riot is the result of his Te grip where he finally snaps and says enough. He believes himself as a victim of circumstances.
Arthur can sometimes be too idealistic because he can’t handle or doesn’t like his hard cold pragmatic reality of his life. He finds it hard to hold down jobs or pay his bills. He even writes in his notes, "The worst part about having a mental illness is people expect you to behave as if you don't."
Austin Powers: Dr. Evil (ENTP)
Ne: Evil is a man of many ideas, most half baked and unsuccessful. He always thinks of many half baked plans like having shark with fricking laser bans attached to their head, blackmail the royal family, set up inconvenient death traps and take over the world.
The only way he can take over the world is if he kills Austin Powers, which always ends up unsuccessful. And he fails even when he is super close.
Despite being a powerful villain, he doesn’t do much work and lets his minions do everything for him; while he plans with the big picture stuff (Austin Powers)
Ti: Dr. Evil is a certified genius. He created his own lair, his own criminal enterprise and has several investments, including Star Bucks, 32 cable companies, a steel mill, a factory in Chicago and a Hollywood Talent Agency.
He attended 6 years of Evil Medical School and owns tons of gadgets in his lab.
He doesn’t care for any of his associates including Number 2 and mainly uses them for his various plans like killing Austin Powers.
Evil uses cold logic in his plans. Kill Austin Powers and gets mad whenever that one simple task fails.
Fe: Evil surpassingly has a loving side; which is shown when he’s near his cat, Mr. Bigglesworth. Even to his clone, Mini-Me.
He also genuinely loves his son, Scott even though the latter doesn’t feel the same. It fails because Evil didn’t have a loving father himself growing up except growing up with a Belgium womanizer and always wanted love from his dad; which he got in the third movie.
In spite of it all, Evil always wanted to be loved and wanted everyone to see him be the superior villain. When he was in school, he wanted everyone to think he was the best student in school but he always lost to Austin Powers.
Evil needs constant praise from his team of how good he is and his plans. He is known to monologue out loud so they could be in awe of him.
Si: While Evil has creative intelligence, he lacks very much in conventional intelligence. Instead of just killing Austin Powers with a gun like his son suggests, he instead just leave them in a tank and assume everything went to plan.
Scott likes the thrill of the chase catching Austin and not the endgame of it. He can quickly change sides just like when he lost interest and joined Austin’s side in the third movie when he reunited with his dad. Evil has no allegiance, he just does things for the thrill and fun of it.
His plans are never simple and straight forward; he lets his henchman handle all the technical work around the law and the details on getting Austin.
If he could, Evil could easily kill Austin Powers despite saying he’s going to but keeps on failing because of his semi complicated and creative plans which often backfires. His rivalry with Austin is a game to him than an actual plan. Dr. Evil is far from a mastermind, simply because he doesn’t have the actual attention span to be one.
Trailer Park Boys: Bubbles (INFP)
Fi: Bubbles is certainly a sensitive guy. If he never meet Ricky and Julian, he most likely just alone in his shed with his kitties.
What makes him stand out is Bubbles is the only character who feels deeply in the show. And is the heart of the show. Between Ricky and Julian, he’s the emotional one of the group and is not afraid to cry or scream when things go wrong. Putting his heart closely in his shelves.
Bubbles genuinely doesn’t support what the boys do sometimes like doing crimes and using guns but because he is loyal to them, he would go out and do crimes and back the boys up no matter what. Because no matter what, one thing Bubbles deeply believes in, it’s friendship. Something Julian and Ricky don’t get is how touchy feely he is but they back him up.
Ne: Bubbles is a deep thinker; he can talk for hours about space and science fiction movies for hours. Some say, he is smarter than Julian or even close to his level even if he lets his feelings get in the way.
As a kid, Bubbles wanted to be a spaceman but they rejected him because of his eyes. (He can’t see and has big glasses).
Bubbles is creative when he has to be; just like when he created Kitty Land and has the biggest imagination between the boys.
Bubbles is without doubt the “nerd” of the group even if he hates being called that.
Si: Bubbles is always telling the boys to grow up and in Season 11, was convincing the boys to grow up and leave their life’s seriously and get a job.
Bubbles just wants to rest with his kitties and that’s all he wants in life. He is often the most sane member in the park (next to Julian) and the most responsible.
Te: Since Bubbles grew up in a rough trailer park life; his Te is slightly developed but not too much.
Bubbles despite wanting to be responsible struggles with basic things when he runs his own business like finance, profit margins and money management which is why he needs Julian’s help for that.
Bubbles is an idealist by heart; he knows the basis of how to run a business; but he doesn’t know how to run a business. He just wants to run one (like Bubbles Bed and Breakfast or a brewery) because he doesn’t know the technical producers or the business saavy to operate.
Bubbles struggles with pragmatic cold logic decisions thinking too much with his gut and how he feels. And can get upset easily when things don’t work out and he feels like a failure because of it. Like when the city was trying to shut down his brewery, he was in tears and visibly upset over it. Bubbles puts his hearts too much in his shelves like said previously that he doesn’t empathize the cold logic or what needs to be done sometimes.
Bubbles famously lives in a shed because he can’t afford any trailers so he lives in a small shed to manage. And doesn’t spend any money on a trailer.
And in all, if Bubbles was in control of his life and never meet Ricky and Julian. He probably would have never even left the Shed with his kitties.
Trailer Park Boys: Jim Lahey (ESTJ)
Te:
"When you're in a man's power, you must do as he bids you!"
Lahey takes his job as Trailer Park supervisor very seriously and has low tolerance for crimes or anything shady. He keeps a close eye making sure no one is causing trouble.
He has a very strict rule on what should and should not happen in the park. No bike ramps, no loud concerts and no illegal dope or weed.
Lahey is very black and white and believes things are either “right” or “wrong” and he has a long list on what is wrong in the park.
No nonsense to the tee. Lahey also is a man who needs to be in control, he needs to have a full purpose in the world.
He needs to be a cop, he needs to be the Trailer park supervisor. He needs something that will give him respect from the people of the park; which he rarely gets.
But, he also needs the authority to do things his own way.
Si:
I expect respect, I respect diligence, and I expect courtesy.
Because he’s drunk most of the time; it’s hard to see but Lahey is a traditionalist at heart and believes in hard work and diligence.
He hates seeing people not doing what they are told, and he checks the area to see if people are messing around or doing what they are told.
He has a huge set of rules and it’s gonna be hell on earth if they don’t follow it.
He remembers the old park of the past being nostalgic about it. The one that used to be peaceful and quiet until Ricky and Julian ruined it with their crimes and schemes.
He remembers his time as a cop and all the painful memories that got him kicked out and fighting for what he believed in and getting no thanks. This is one of the many reasons he drinks, to escape his past.
Ne:
"When you stare into the shit abyss, the shit abyss stares back".
Despite being drunk 24/7, Jim is almost as clever as the boys if not more.
He’s alway tries to keep up with their schemes and joins a scheme of his own if it means to take down the boys.
Lahey is also known for his ramblings and long Shit-monologues like “Shit-Hawk”, “Shit-Quake” and “The Shit abyss”.
Even when he’s drunk, Jim is always scheming out loud on how to take down the boys. And his tert Ne, always gives him the plans on how to do it and deal with them.
He’s the one who sets up surveillance tapes on the boys; he’s the one who pretends to be drunk so the boys would let their guards down and he can arrest them, he’s the one who is always thinking of new ways to take down the boys and sent them back to “con college” and he won’t rest until they are locked there forever.
He believes if the boys screw up more, they will open up the “Shit-abyss” around the park. And gets paranoid fantasies on what will happen if the boys take free rein and he fears it.
Despite everything, you can never not say Lahey doesn’t have a knack of not being creative because that’s one thing he does have.
And when he does get drunk, his entire drunk ramblings are part of his Ne tirades; and he even gives creative nicknames. Including calling Randy “Bo-Bandy” and Julian “Sexian”.
Fi:
This park... it's the most important thing in my life and it always will be and so will all of you. Cause this is our home! This is our community!
Despite everything, Jim believes in doing the right thing and believes he is genuinely doing the right thing when he is trying to stop the boys from their schemes.
Lahey always keeps his feelings to himself’s and drowns them out with liquor or Randy “Bo Bandy”.
Jim worked as a police officer once and originally joined in because he believed in doing the right thing and helping the community and was a nice and moral cop. After he unjustly resigned from the force after being framed, Lahey used alcohol to cope with it.
Like said before, Lahey is a black and white thinker, and has a sense of “What’s right” and “What’s wrong” to him. He believes getting rid of Ricky and Julian through any means necessary is what will save the park.
He has a long standing sense of loyalty to the park having lived there for many years. And thinks of it like a community where the people in it are his family.
Lahey also has a deep affection to Randy and calls him “Randy Bo-Bandy” as his nickname and will get mad if anyone makes fun of him.
And in all, Jim Lahey does whatever he thinks he should do to keep the park safe. And nothing can ever change that. The boys wouldn’t be anything without Jim Lahey. And he wouldn’t be anything without them. And deep down, he likes the boys in the end of the day even if he admits it or not.
Trailer Park Boys: Julian (INTJ)
Ni: Julian is all about planning and landing a big score to get money. Unlike Ricky, Julian does have a sense of direction in his life but he rarely follows through with it. He is a planner and always thinks of big ideas and hauls like Freedom 35 or how to grow his dope garden. He is the silent stoic whose mind is always working. Julian never really stops thinking and his mind is always turned on and brainstorming the next heist or plan to get rich.
Te: Julian always wants to be the leader and in charge. He doesn’t give a damn and can be quite bossy. Julian takes his job as the leader seriously and wants everything to go perfect. Which is why he gets mad when Ricky (ESTP) or Bubbles (INFP) are messing around or acting goofy on the job. He wants his job to go perfect and doesn’t like no one being sloppy. Which always happens. He knows the numbers, the code of conducts and what to do in his business. He knows how much profit is involved, the product rate and how much supply he needs. Growing up from an abusive upbringing, Julian learned to be responsible and take care of himself at a very early age. He always takes his physical health seriously and gets himself in great shape. He has extremely great discipline and posture. He is known as the “Alpha Male” of the park. But he never shows it off.
Fi: Julian is deep down a sensitive guy and loyal to the people he loves like Ricky and Bubbles. With Bubbles even saying “Julian has the kindest heart”. If he likes you, he would do anything in the world for you and has your back every step of the way. Julian can’t control himself when someone is disrespectful to his friends and can get triggered easily at that and get physical. Julian is always fair and always telling Ricky to knock it off when he’s making fun of Bubbles or when someone is just being an asshole. He doesn’t tolerate that. Julian knows he can be a bit of a hard ass sometimes and apologies right away when that happens and feels guilt over it. He really thinks of his crew in Sunnyvale like family even though he would never admit it.
He also searches for a purpose like when he fell in love with Tanya in that Bible Thumping episode until he found out she was a scammer.
Se: Because of Julian growing up in the trailer park life; his Se is highly developed. But, it’s still his inferior function and he still struggles with it. Julian can’t lie without stumbling his words and even talk to the cops; that’s why he often needs Ricky for that. He is the master of planning and the numbers behind the schemes. But when it comes to improvisation and spontaneity, he struggles with those and can come across as awkward than his usual confident self. Julian is book smart and Ricky is street smart and Julian knows it. He knows deep down no matter how many times he will get mad at Ricky, when he’s in a jam. He will always bail him out and think of something on the spot and fast.
