I’m writing to let you know about an exciting new opportunity that SIN-O-TEC is making available to our WET BATTERY TECHNICIAN team members in your area.
You will be participating in a new sales pilot offering low cost upgrades to our customers, focusing specifically on our SIN-O-TEC Qr556 models.
Qr556 models, while a customer favourite for their near silent charging and minimal upkeep, are reaching their end of life. You will be able to offer our customers special discounts and payment plans if they agree to upgrade to our latest iteration, the Sr660.
The Sr660 is our top of the line model, similar to the Qr556 but with improved sound dampening, extended charging technology, and simpler maintenance, all while operating perfectly within new standard parameters.
For every upgrade to the Sr660 you sell to an existing Qr556 customer, we will waive their disposal fees, and pay you $650, per successful sale and install, which is 5% higher than your standard commission.
Nervous to try and bridge to the sale? Here are a few things you can try to ensure your customer understands the benefits of upgrading.
“I see you still have your Qr556 running! Did you know you can get the same great charging technology in a smaller, quieter package? Can I tell you about the Sr660?”
“I see you’re focused on longevity with your wet battery experience. Unfortunately, the Qr556 are reaching end of life. Have you heard about the Sr660? Less movement, more optimal parameters! I’d love to get you set up.”
Focus on value - the Sr660 is meant to last as long if not longer than the Qr556
Some customers may be attached to their old Qr556 models. Assure them that the Qr556 systems will be disposed of cleanly and humanely.

FREQUENTLY ASKED CUSTOMER QUESTIONS ABOUT Sr660
Q: What is the expected lifespan of the Sr660?
A: Thanks to new patented technology, the Sr660’s lifespan could be as much as 20 years. As is the case with all wet batteries, it depends on how strictly the user adheres to the maintenance and update schedule.
Q: What are the maintenance requirements for the new Sr660 model?
A: Due to the Sr660’s expanded power abilities, we do recommend twice yearly scheduled maintenance. These can be scheduled through a technician in advance, or at their leisure on our website or through our contact centre, 1-888-SINO.
Q: Does the Sr660 require a new base?
A: No, the Sr660 can continue to use the old Qr556 base, or any of our previous Sr bases. (Excluding Sr010.) However, we do recommend that the base be examined before the Sr660 is installed, to ensure it can continue to be used safely.
Q: Is it normal for the unit to produce sound when not in use?
A: Yes. The Sr660 will make some ambient sound in between charging cycles. This is normal, and can be dampened with the optional SIN-O-TECH wet battery cover. Some customers prefer to keep their batteries in a basement or closet.
Q: Does the unit respond to verbal input?
A: In emergencies, the unit will acknowledge verbal input. However, we do not recommend using verbal input in day to day tasks. The installed panel is the most effective way to operate your Sr660 system.
Q: Why won’t it stop looking at me?
A: Visual tracking may occur between cycles. This is to be expected and does not indicate malfunction. Continue to use your Sr660 as normal. No further action is required
