hiatus alert. [augutst 10th]
hey! the summer workshop has me SWARMED, so i wonât be able to go on this account and make starters until august 10th at the latest, sorry!
OUTOFCHARACTER.
Hey! From now until August 5th I am participating in an art workshop from 9:00AM-4:00PM PST on weekdays and Saturday. Unfortunately, since this is pertaining to an important portfolio that I have due on October 1st, I will be cutting times down on my roleplay accounts. Iâm not going to call an official hiatus until September, but this is a warning that my activity WILL be cut starting from Monday. All of my replies will be submitted into the queue during this process. I will be lurking on mobile and active computer wise perhaps around 10:00PM PST everyday. Soâ yeah. Sorry for the inconvenience.Â

hellâs kitchen.
âYeah, but this wasnât off-limits before.â That was obvious. She went to school through this route. She never went off anywhere else. Esmeralda heaved out a large groan. âCome oooooooon. All the other ways are too far! I even forgot my wallet today to hitch up a bus.â She says, more towards herself than to the older man before her.Â
Given the gravity of the situation and how understandably dangerous it is to be around here for now, she was too stubborn to make a move.Â
Although, as the older man spoke, his response peaked her interest.
She folded her arms together and focused her attention on the heap of debris being moved around. âA construction worker, huh?â She mused, âYou know, I know a few construction workersâsome of them Iâd say are family friendsâand they do not have those cool gadgets you have nor do they have any powers. I donât even know what their policy is on mutants when hiring them either soâŠ
Hold on, they just leave? Arenât they supposed to help out and stuff? Like even at least paying for damages?â
Well, no shit, Ezra had wanted to bark at the stranger in regards to her simple comment. Everything had been peaches and cream until the bulging green monster had unleashed himself and decided to make New York his playground again. Why couldnât it have been Los Angeles or Washington D.C. for a change, the taller had thought as he placed the last debris upon the pile. Under an unanimous decision. New York had already suffered enough.
âWell, not to brag, but Iâm an advanced construction worker.â The male had shrewdly remarked as he stepped back, eyes narrowing as he examined his work. His free hand came to crumple the sleeves of his fire jumper, the upper-half dangling from his waist as the lean man had opted to don his black tanktop instead. Lifting up the thin fabric, he flashed the back of the uniform where the canine emblem had been present. âDamage Control-- weâre endorsed by Stark Enterprise, which explains our technology. The olâ Stark himself seems to have a guilty conscience, but too much narcissism built within him to even bother sweeping up the streets himself.â As he let go of the fabric, allowing the top half of his jumper to dangle idly from his waist yet again, gloved fingers soon pressed against the helmet before the male had squeezed it off. He shook his head, ridding himself of the sweat that may have bundled up on chestnut strands, before he tossed the safety equipment towards the other.Â
âThatâs what we all have been asking and thatâs predominately why Damage Control had been formed; These heroes--vigilantes specifically-- donât care about the city. They only care about âserving justiceâ. Now put the helmet on and step back.â His hands were thrust in the direction of the debris, his eyebrow twitching in concentration as white smoke began to emit from the pile, âThe button to activate the visor on the left, I donât want you inhaling this.â
meilin pouted, looking up at the taller male. âthatâs not even relatively close to pizza.â soon, she switched her pout for a more cutesy, innocent approach. honestly, she just didnât know when to give up. âpleeeeease,â said the girl, clinging onto his arm, on her face the cutest expression she could muster. âjust one slice, pleeeease!â
His nose wrinkled in faux revulsion at the young girlâs charm. He tugged his arm, attempting to make the brunette unlatch from him as he allowed the corners of his mouth to dip further in its scowl. âIâm doing you a service. Arenât you aware of how your stomach and face will react towards eating something as vile as that?â Although the further Meilin had pressed on with the topic of pizza Ezra, admittedly, found himself less insistent on grabbing a quick burger. âIf-- emphasize on that-- I buy you pizza, are you going to promise me that youâll hit up the gym later on today to burn it off? And Iâm not talking about the Pokemon gym.â He quirked a dainty brow up, expression pointed as he awaited for the youngerâs answer.
1988 - Damage Control House Ad
â   NONE of that made sense, but it all made my head hurt.   â
âI was talking about the Ripple Effect. To put it within simplicity, it isnât wise to have these organic weapons-- The Avengers-- run so freely without constraints. The mere presence of them within our society isnât going to protect us from the masterminds of destruction when the Avengers themselves are the sole reason why chaos has been rapidly increasing across the globe. Evil gets attracted by temptations and the Avengers, as mighty as they are, become charms for destruction due to the anticipation of the fight that they bring."

âcome on, how can you say no to this face?â said the girl with sweet grin. she had been trying to convince them to buy her pizza for the past few minutes with varying degrees of success. âpleeeease!! iâll pay you back, i just left my wallet at my place my accident. come on, i know you want some to!â

She was stubborn, however, so was he. His features twisted in an expression of mock annoyance, Ezra found himself staring down at the young girl with a wavering scowl. âIâm not going to buy you pizza; the standâs too far and, plus, the slices they sell are disgustingly greasy.â The brunet allowed himself to take a quick scan around the food court, a new idea surfacing within his mind. âHow about Kyochon or In-N-Out?â
@lcertesâ in response to THIS FRESH from the nightclub, Linzy was still in her thin party attire, her dress not more than a scrap of fabric against the cold win. Her eyes sought out the orb in the sky, the source of the deep red light. Shock flickered across her visage when his arm protectively stretched out in front of him, and she immediately turned her attention towards Ezra. He seemed..tense about something, something she could not fathom.  âLeave? But Iâve not gotten a drink yetââ She murmured coolly as she watched him pull out his phone. â If you donât like this place we can just go to another one?â  She wasnât offended that he was attempting to send her home so early, but she was curious what lay behind the stress showing on his features. â I donât want our night together to end so soon.âÂ
A lack of amusement was apparent in her face for the moment. Her purse was locked in her grasp, and she rummaged through it for a cigarette, and a lighter. Once she got her items out of her bag she took the cigarette to her lips and lit the end of it. She smoked for a little bit, releasing the whisps of white out of one corner of her mouth as her hazel eyes went back up to the moon. Itâs deep color was both strange and beautifulâŠin fact she felt oddly drawn to it. As if a bit of her soul was rising from her body torwards that sphere of ruby light. She watched as whisps of smoke rose over her head, rising toward that light. âCome home with me .â She whispered.
âOh, no, no, the club was spectacular.â His voice was light, airy almost, as an anxious grin was scribbled upon his features. His words held truth despite the lack of sensuality pressed within them, Ezraâs eyes remained downcast as he waited for the Uber application to load, one foot impatiently pummeled against the cool concrete as the seconds ticked dreadfully by. In fact, Linzy had been an astonishingly amazing companion for the night, an overall bombshell despite the silver tongue that she had equipped. It didnât help in fact that she was gorgeous.
âWe can just-- do this a different time, alright?â The ambiguity surrounded by the obscure moon offsetted Ezra, the fact that the cause of such oddity could vary between a simple natural phenomenon to the impending arrival of something antagonistic drew a sensation of unease. As the familiar home screen for the application became evident within is screenâs phone, Ezra hastily pressed the address box and finally situation his gaze upon the other. A moment of silence surfaced between them and settled within the chilled atmosphere before Ezra pushed his mobile device towards the smaller, âYour address.âÂ
With his free hand, the brunet unwrapped himself from his ebony blazer, shuddering slightly as he felt the freezing temperature nip at his tan skin as he offered Linzy the article of clothing due to sheer courtesy. âIf I did, would that make you feel better?â

hellâs kitchen.
New York has always been every villain and superheroesâ playground. As much as it annoys a lot of civilians, they just love to have a show or a story to talk about. I was there when Captain America barged in to that building and saved those people! I saw Thor up close! Iron Man winked at me! Surprisingly, enough, a lot of people eat that shit up. Itâs amusing.Â
Itâs the same as when Esmeraldaâs classes got cancelled for the rest of the day. Her university officials decided that the students not stay for long until the battle was over in case any skirmishes happens on school grounds. And she did not complain at all. And yet people started shouting out obvious lies that theyâve seen the Avengers up close and personal today. Itâs doesnât even make sense. The girl decided not to stay around and pack up her things and went to her usual route home.
It seems that the fight died down and the afternoon resumed back to its peaceful state. Even with the wreckage around, it felt like another usual day here in New York.
âŠ
Okay, this is a first.
âOh?â Esmeralda raised her eyebrow and stared at his handiwork. Impressed with how the thick mist of gases disappeared in his hands. âWell, I can wait. I have the whole day.â She says, seemingly interested in what he could do. Heâs no ordinary construction worker. And no ordinary construction worker can remove gas with just a wave of his palm.Â
âWhat are you? Are you an X-Man? X-Men? Youâre one person so it makes sense to be an X-Man. But it doesnât roll off the tongue well.â
Normally after he uttered his words of caution whatever pedestrian that had managed to wander to the demolished zone would be quick to turn and find a new road to commute down, This stranger in particular, however, deemed herself not to be one considered of the ânormalâ batch. Rather than leaving, the tiny girl kept herself firmly planted on the ground, a string of questions soon leaving her rosy lips and Ezra tried his hardest to fight back a groan.Â
âIf you bothered to look around, this particular area is off-limits.â Â The brunet had attempted to press again, much to no avail. His fingers wrapped around a device latched on his belt, a cylindrical creation was unsheathed from its holster before the tanned male flickered the metallic thing on and thus summoned blue electricity. He pointed the gadget at a leap of debris, blue waves of energy quick to surround the pile before the male effortlessly moved the bundle onto a growing heap.
âIf I were an X-Men, I wouldnât have even bothered to patch up this city, now would I?â His words were sharp, venomous, and Ezra found his nails raking sharply against the shaft of his device, âI wouldâve just left the area in destruction, like they all usually do. Iâm not one of them-- Iâm just a construction worker.â He threw is head back, sparring a fleeting glance towards the stranger as he quickly scanned over her features, âJust donât bother with it.â
"Don't you ever find it odd when the moon suddenly changes colors like that?" // thanks for the reblog + follow!
Almost immediately, Ezra found himself placing an arm in front of the slight woman as his gaze strung upwards to the sky. Indeed, the soft hues of the moonâs amber glow had twisted into a deeper, menacing scarlet as the clouds hung closely under. His jaw knotted, the tanned male gazed down at Linzy.
âWe need to leave.â Less were his words a suggestion more than an order, the brunet found himself fishing out his phone before he dragged his finger against the silver screen, âIâll call an Uber and get you back home quick, alright?â The younger hadnât been one to be full of superstitions, however he learnt through experience that any oddities were the sign of a nearby catastrophe. âIâll pay for it.âÂ
âTwenty? Damn, thatâs a savage answer though.â Low muffled chuckles emitted through his lips as he gave his head a light shake at the answer given by the elder male. Nodding his head slowly, he then grabbed the black mask and secured it around his lower face just like how Ezra had it done around his lower face. Seth grabbed the leather gloves handed by the latter and slipped them on. Once theyâd been slipped on, Seth pulled the gloves gently just to make sure that they were fit enough. âJeez, are you going to kill his dogs for real? That soundsâŠscary. Any actual plan though? What are you planning to do for real?â The younger male watched the elder male carefully, waiting for his answer as a smirk slowly appeared on his face behind the mask when he saw the gloves that the male was wearing. âI think you look good in those leather gloves though. Do you wear them often when you want to kill⊠or torture people?â
âI wonât touch his dogs. Are you hoping for violence?â He held no grudge against the senior to resort in abandoning his morals, not like the cutting rancor that suffocated him in terms of a certain philanthropist. The moon hung low, out near the city the stars failed to pierce themselves through the black veil of the night, and the soft atmosphere pieced together a perfect setting for the deed that they were overdue to commit. âThe gloves are for safety measurements; Normally my friend and I take what we need and leave no evidence.â He moved his fingers, feeling the leather hugging is nimble fingers, determining whether or not the material had been flexible enough to work with.
âMr. Choi has a room full of antiques worth a killing on the market. My friend bailed, Iâm simply carrying the deed out for her. Iâve got a vase to take and, unless it calls for dire measures, that is the only procedure I will be executing. There is still room for your departure, that is, if you are not up for this.â
âListen well & I can make you my next success story.â
