As a life long Leicester fan I have seen my team go through many ups and downs. My love affair began back in 1992, sat in the double decker as an 8 year old watching Leicester thump Watford 5-2 in the old division one. From that moment on football had me hooked, and my team has forever been blue!
Since, I watched us lift the Play Final cup twice, the league cup twice, I cried when we lost 1-0 to Spurs in the league cup final in 99' - I pulled my hair out in the Taylor, Levein and Holloway era's... and I witnessed the worst day in Leicester's long 130 year history when we were relegated to league 1 against Stoke.
Never could I have imagined we would go on to be fighting for the Premier League title. The last 5 years or so our club had provided so much joy, and a few heartaches thanks to Yann Kermorgant and Troy Deeney. But nothing has compared to what we are achieving right now.
As I write this Leicester have just sealed a guaranteed top 3 finish and a place in the Champions League - THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE!!!
So, you could say I am a passionate Leicester City fan. I am also a designer by trade. I marry the two passions with my LCFC statto blog and twitter account sharing insights and stats alongside Leicester City related graphics. I do this purely for the love of it.
I wanted to produce an artwork that embodied what this season means for me, a statement of defiance for all those that doubted Ranieri and his ability to come good for Leicester City - and through that desire the Ranieri Revolution artwork was born.
Taking hints from Revolution posters of the 60's and 70's, the Ranieri Revolution artwork features 5 key players (Mahrez, Vardy, Kanté, Schemichel and Fuchs) and the master himself - Claudio Ranieri - all bespoke illustrated and crafted into a composition that shows the energy and determination the club has shown over the last few years, and in particular the last 9/10 months since Ranieri took over the helm.
The aim was to create something I would be proud to frame and hang on my wall and after circulating the artwork via my twitter and Facebook channels I decided to offer the artwork out to a wider audience, donating 10% of any profit made to the Foxes Foundation in the process, while the remaining profit will go towards producing more artwork in future.
We will be offering limited edition runs of this artwork on professionally printed A1 poster stock as well as screen printed T-shirts providing minimum order requirements are met. You can also purchase the artwork as a phone, tablet or desktop screensaver.
