I have SO MANY THOUGTHS !!!!
Ok we know that Lorroakan canonically left Athkatla because of its oppressive restrictions on magic. My Lorroakan also left because of his toxic relationship with a politician that went totally off the rails at some point (someone who btw actively supported those exact laws, bc magic users threaten the stability and power of the political elite, yada yada).
Lorroakan hated those laws and never abided by them. They were an insult to his intellect, and he was never one to suffer chains.
In his youth, like most Amnian mages, he practiced in secret & eventually left to study at an academy abroad. However, upon returning to Amn, he grew bolder and with his new lover’s influence, he likely thought himself untouchable (even when said lover also dictated when and where he could use magic, keeping him on a tight leash — but that’s a whole other story.)
Lorroakan crossed the line multiple times.
If it weren’t for his lover, who happened to be the brother of one of the ruling Council members, the Cowled Wizards would’ve deleted him long ago. Honestly, they nearly did and things probably got scary...
Yet another and very pressing reason to leave Athkatla.
Even now, the Cowled Wizards send reminders that they’re watching. And while he tries to shrug it off & clings to the belief that he’s THE ALPHA WIZARD (lol) now and no one — not even them — can touch him... it def makes him paranoid and feeds his anxiety :,)))

His lips curved into a grin, so tantalizingly close to the drow's ; his hand came up, cupping Rinnill's cheek, his thumb slowly tracing his lower lip as though considering whether he should bestow the honor of a kiss.
❝Hmm~ Since you asked so nicely…❞
ᒥ🕷ᒧ— Bribing the press did not surprise him, but he didn't really care what Lorroakan did with his money and image. The man was free to make his own choices, Rinnill would only concern himself if there was too much risk in the man's actions. Bribing press? Very little risk. Shady? Yes, but certainly not life threatening.
Though his opinion would have no sway if he did voice it, that didn't matter once the man was close and toying with him. The pleasure that coiled in his lower abdomen told him he enjoyed the games, and that was something that did surprise him. Rinnill would have never guessed himself as a man that enjoyed being teased and toyed with, yet here he was--mere moments from shaking with anticipation.
He leaned in and took the Lorroakan's lips with his own. A blush consumes his features as he's suddenly very aware of his mistake: he still was laughably unfamiliar with kissing. It was apparent in the tight, unmoving rigidness of his lips against the other man's. Rinnill was nervous to move them, afraid he'd be as sloppy and clumsy as he felt. The heat of the embarrassment he felt became too overwhelming and he pulled away. His hand was quick to move from the gentle caress on the mage's cheek to shielding his own downcast eyes in shame.
"The years I spent keeping intimacy at arm's length was erroneous...There is no other I'd rather kiss, but perhaps some practice was needed..." There was a slight crack in his voice, his throat tight with the all-consuming embarrassment he felt.
It was far from enjoyable or romantic or sensual & he would have pulled away after half a second had it not been for Rinnill's intoxicating words and gentle caress.
❝Yes, that was dreadful.❞ Even so, his voice was lacking the usual bite ; there was no anger in him & whatever small annoyance he might have felt had already faded completely.
Lorroakan's fingers combed gently through Rinnill's hair, an attempt to ease the tension and shame he knew coiled within the drow. He understood what kind of SCARS the Underdark left behind. Affection, intimacy, closeness… none of it could come instinctively to someone shaped by such a place. How could he fault him? The mere thought of what Rinnill had suffered in his past made his chest tighten uncomfortably & the wizard ruthlessly pushed the thought away. Thinking too deeply about this.... no, it served no purpose and it hurt in ways he refused to examine.
Better not to dwell on it.
A playful smile curved his lips. ❝We're going to have to practice, seriso. Extensively~❞
ᒥ🕷ᒧ— The soft kiss to his hand bloomed a vivid blush on his features that reached the very tips of his long ears. The compliment to his poetry made his heart race, his hand feel unsteady. A compliment could undo him anytime, but one from Lorroakan? It was an honor and stirred something fierce and unfamiliar within him that no one other had.
"Only if you would be my muse," Rinnill smiled softly, adoration filling his scarlet eyes. "I must share with the world how your favor and beauty can undo a man, no matter how disciplined he believes himself." His other hand moved and settled on the mage's cheek, and Rinnill moves only a hint closer. "May I?" Came the whispered request. Always he would ask permission for something he considered as sacred as a kiss.
Rinnill, a man so determined to follow nothing or no one, was wholly Lorroakan's. No charming amulet was needed, just the man's attention and touch were enough for the drow to be bent to his will so completely.

❝My desire to look at something more aesthetically pleasing,❞ he answered with a snide lilt, though the words carried no real bite.
❝Now that you’ve taken up residence here, you’ll be expected to meet certain… standards.❞ Satisfied with the half-up braid, he tied a ribbon at the end, letting the rest of his hair fall freely.
A quiet pause followed, then a sigh. ❝Truly a shame you don’t wear it loose more often…❞ Rin would look exquisite!
ᒥ🕷ᒧ— His shoulders ease with the gentleness of it all and the memories of violent touch of his hair by his sisters were drowned away by the ease this kindness brought him. Rinnill looks back over his shoulder at Lorroakan, offering the man a gentle and genuine smile.
With graceful motion, he's spun back to face him and a hand brushed along his jaw in a feather light touch. "If doing so means you will look upon me as I do you, then it is done. Though, I'm not sure I could ever compare to your beauty no matter the effort I put in," His fingertips dance down Lorroakan's neck, over his collarbone, and then up to comb through his auburn hair.
"Autumn," He mumbles, admiring the other's hair and features. "You are as if Autumn held the vibrancy of life and warmth." Rinnill could not stop himself from taking in the endlessly beautiful Lorroakan.
As Rinnill knew well, Lorroakan had always been easy prey for flattery, but this went beyond that. This was devotion ; genuine & intoxicating.
Naturally, the wizard took a certain pleasure in the power such devotion gave him, yet the words truly stirred his heart ( as Rinnill always had ).
He gave a quiet, amused scoff, the corners of his mouth curling into a smug grin, though warmth bloomed in his hazel eyes. The drow’s touch sent a shiver down his spine & he reached for his hand, drawing it toward his lips and brushed a soft kiss over his knuckles.
❝. . . I daresay poetry could be a worthy pursuit for you. It would suit you far better than hunting beasts,❞ he murmured playfully before pressing a another kiss to Rin’s pulse.

ᒥ🕷ᒧ— The drow comes out of his reverie with a start when he suddenly feels the ever-present bun on his hand being undone. He had to remind himself there had only been one person with the gall to enter his room and touch him: Lorroakan.
Silver waves spill down to the middle of his back, and he can feel the other's fingers running through to root out any tangles. "I brushed it this morning, but it has been up since then," He'd explain the presence of any tangles, though he was sure the mage would still find something to chide him about--jokingly or not.
Rinnill's hair is, surprisingly, soft. It's well looked after, though a stench of campfire seemed embedded in it no matter how many oils and salts he used in a bath. The texture of his hair was nearly curled and certainly could be had he cared to put more effort into styling it. No, he preferred that topknot. Again, the bun always present unless he was readying to bathe.
"What has inspired this?" Dry of tone, but that was just how he was. Just as he was always dry, he expected the mage to snipe back in his usual short-tempered manner.

ᒥ🕷ᒧ— His back hits the shelf and his mouth opened in a gasp, allowing Lorroakan's tongue to meet his. Eyes open, wide and confused by this act. He never considered such things could be done, a testament to his inexperience. Tongues battle and his eyes fall close again as heat rushes through his body. It gathers like a pool in the pit of his stomach and his shaft swells in his pants with his racing heart.
An onyx hand raises to settle on the wizard's jaw, steadying as he gives into his instinct to keep up a fierce joust. The taste of the man was intoxicating; no wine could compare in Rinnill's mind.
Soon, the exchange breaks and Rinnill leans himself against the shelf behind him. Scarlet eyes are filled with lust and desire when they open, drool dribbled down his lips and chin as his tongue hung half out for a short moment as he gathered his wits, and his features were alight with a vicious, unrelenting blush. All he knows in that moment is he desperately craves more of Lorroakan.
A loud thud sounds as the drow drops to his knees, and his hands take Lorroakan's hips again. His gaze never leaves the other's features, but what he desires most is made very clear as his hand brushes aside the front of the robe. "I need you."
LORROAKAN DRANK IN THE SIGHT OF RINNILL, UTTERLY DEBAUCHED BEFORE HIM. The drow’s lips glistened with drool, his half-lidded gaze smoldering with raw, unbridled desire. Gods. What a sight to behold. And how intoxicating it was, being regarded with such feral want... Of course it did something to him — stirred a fire within, made his cock twitch beneath his robes as his breath hitched.
In the next heartbeat, Rinnill was already on his knees, hands grasping at Lorroakan’s hips with desperate urgency. His bloodied fingers fumbled with the front of his robes, smearing crimson streaks across the fabric... He gasped ; a sharp, overwhelmed sound escaping his lips as the reality crashed over him and he was reminded of the CARNAGE around them. What was happening?? Whatever it was, it was happening too fast!!
❝Rinnill ——— for Mystra’s sake, stop this at once!!❞ he managed, voice uneven as he half-heartedly reached down to push at Rinnill’s hands. ❝This isn’t —...❞
The drow’s proximity, the warmth of his breath so tantalizingly close to Lorroakan’s groin that he could nearly feel it through the thin fabric of his robes, his own desire to indulge after — hells, far too long — threatened to shatter what little restraint remained within him.

If I had met Lorroakan in bg3 first, I would have been "oh, he's a douchebag >:^(", but I met your portrayal first and it was "oh, he's a douchebag ♡♡♡".

He didn’t answer. There was no space for words, no sense of where one thought ended and another began. Everything inside him was noise and the tempest in him pressed harder and harder against the edges of his control until it finally SHATTERED.
Without thinking, he turned, catching Rinnill’s arm in a bruising grip and pulled him close. A split second later, their mouths collided ; desperate, fierce, tasting of blood.
He didn’t even care about that right now, nor did he know what possessed him! Maybe being punched before had knocked the sense right out of his head, maybe the lingering shock still kept him from thinking clearly, maybe he was utterly lost to that intoxicating devotion. Crimson stained lips moved against the drow’s with a fire born of everything he could no longer contain : fear, guilt, rage, hurt, longing.
ᒥ🕷ᒧ— A grasp of his arm and the drow was expected lightning to flow through him again. His earlier offer reconsidered, he'd steel himself to the pain for Lorroakan--Pain would not come. Lips clash and a different kind of shock took over Rinnill. Wide eyes are locked to on the face of the other man, and he does feel lightning in every muscle of his body, but it wasn't painful. No, it was energizing in a way he had never known.
Crutch dropped, he steadies himself against Lorroakan by taking his hips. His eyes close as he gives into instinct and passion. To say Rinnill was skilled in this art would be nothing but an utter lie. His lips met Lorroakan's with clumsy. Only once before had he shared a kiss with another, and he hadn't been a willing participant in that exchange.
Thoroughly lost in every drop of the emotions pouring from the wizard's lips, he would in turn try his damnedest to let his own speak in spite of his blatant inexperience. A hand would move from hip to small of back, pushing Lorroakan closer as though their bodies could merge into one.
Had this been any other moment, one of gentle or slow build, the drow would have been overwhelmed by insecurity. This sudden and emotional kiss, however, gave him no time to give those thoughts a voice. Instead, he was lost in the whirlwind of emotions within them both.
The distinct taste of copper on their lips would soon be mixed with the salt of tears, they fell from Rinnill's eyes with ease. He wasn't even aware of them with how absorbed he was with Lorroakan.
THERE WAS NO TENDERNESS.
This was a violent release of long-pent-up feelings he might have harbored for the drow ; this was the release of the anger and hurt Rinnill had caused him, the release of the panic that had gripped him moments ago.
The kiss was all fire, scorching away any skill (or rather, any lack thereof) Rinnill might have possessed. And while Lorroakan had far more experience than him, in this moment the wizard hardly displayed any finesse himself.
It was a maelstrom of hunger, consuming and relentless, as he pressed himself against the smaller man. His hand clawed through Rinnill’s white hair, pulling, unraveling the bun until strands spilled free. His tongue thrust forward, demanding entrance as he shoved Rinnill back, pinning him against the towering bookshelf without breaking the kiss.
Haarlep's eyes were soft, loving, and through their manipulation, told Lorroakan that he would grant him everything he ever desires. So alike his master, the human was. Haarlep could see Raphael gazing back at him with that little scrunch of his nose, that little turn of his upper lip. The way they both scowled around when they said they didn't want something but they did. It was like a game of cat and mouse, but they were very much the mouse.
Haarlep had seen it all before, and Lorroakan had no devil inside him to stop any of the corruption. Perhaps a spell, though, remained within his arsenal. Not enough to stave off the incubus, though, not when he was already so skilled in the art of seduction when a man loved no other than himself.
Such small minds thought alike... and Haarlep found himself eager to take.
"And what better eyes to gaze so lovingly at you but your own?" he purred back, his hand moving over Lorroakan's chest, to feel flesh and a beating heart beneath that cage of bone. Not strong enough. Not nearly strong enough to protect him.
"To hear your own voice speak back at you... but to touch and feel, and give you the pleasures no one else could." Even a touch from Haarlep was enough to send someone languid and to their knees, topped off with his own charms and pheromones. Haarlep was a biological weapon of mass manipulation and seduction.
"To tell you how worthy you are," he continued to tease. Haarlep's claws drew up Lorroakan's neck before they touched his cheek, cupping it in his warm, ever-loving embrace. "Do you want that, my dear? Just say yes, and I will give you everything. Let me be your obedient mirror and stop this devil face from tormenting you."
HAZEL EYES FLICKED TO THE LARGE RED HANDS GLIDING OVER HIS CHEST, rising and falling with ragged breaths. Beneath them, his heartbeat quickened and his pink nipples stiffened further against his warm palms. Gods, he looked so small compared to the the fiend. Haarlep could have crushed every bone in his body without much effort and Lorroakan’s mind was far too clouded to summon so much as a spark of magic — let alone a spell strong enough to drive the incubus away.
His breath caught, a tremor rippling through him as the incubus’s claws grazed his neck, raising goosebumps along his flushed skin. His lips parted and there was a fleeting urge to protest (or at least to muster a snide remark) flickering somewhere in his mind, but only a quivering exhale slipped free. His gaze locked onto the fiend’s eyes ; molten pools of fire that seemed to sear into his very soul, stoking that shameful heat deep within him that made his cock stir and harden.
Saying yes to a fiend was a terrible idea! He wouldn’t be so foolish as to even consider it, well aware of the strings that always came attached———
❝ . . . Yes.❞ His voice was shaky, barely more than a whisper. The touch made him sink back into the pillows, if only a little, fiery ginger hair fanned out around him.
I started watching CR4, I'm halfway through ep 1 and OMGGGGGGGGGG. WOW. Yes, I cried only 2 hours in.
ᒥ🕷ᒧ— Rinnill fell back with the shove, as he couldn't exactly take a step to brace himself. From his place now on the floor, he stared up with confusion. The drow was unsure what Lorroakan wanted--or rather what he needed. Comfort wasn't in his skill set; he was sure he'd only cause more upset if his unfamiliarity with it led to any mistakes.
Having found his crutch among the massacre within the room, Rinnill stood himself up and remained in place for a long moment. He watched the trembling hand, the eyes squeezed tight of the other.
Why couldn't he please this man? Everything he did was wrong. Why was he so inept at these things? He'd give Lorroakan a few more moments of silence before he tentatively made his way over. His hand reached out, hesitating when just mere inches from the wizard's shoulder. "...Lorroakan," Rinnill's hand settled on his shoulder, his touch unsure this time.
"Let us leave this room, for now. We both could use a wash. After? I have ointments and other various things for injury." There had to be something he could do. "...You believe me insane," His gaze fell, finding a spot on the tabletop. "But my care for you...Is something fierce. You have my heart, my soul."
"Allow me to show you that, Lorroakan."

ᒥ🕷ᒧ— Rinnill snarled and hissed as the lightning ran through every muscle of his body. He rips his arm from Lorroakan's hold and fights to steady himself with the chair. Scarlet eyes raise to glare at the man, filled with annoyance, anger, and hurt for the briefest moment. However, the look quickly melts away as he takes in Lorroakan.
The upset, the anger? He was in a state Rinnill knew all too well, but unlike Rinnill, he couldn't control it. The drow spent a moment watching the human before his hand shot out to take Lorroakan's. His grip was firm and unyielding. "Let it out," He spoke with a sure tone and squeezed the hand. "Shock me, again, Lorroakan. As many times as you need."
There had been many a time he wished for something to direct the overwhelming feelings at. He wished to be that for the wizard--he would allow himself to receive the full force of it. "Everything in you? Let it out!" Emotions were heightened and needed release.
Violence and pain? Rinnill could steel himself against it all. He did not fear them; they were more familiar to him than kindness had ever been. If he could use his tolerance to aid Lorroakan in that moment? He would. "Let it out! Don't hold back! I am yours to break, if you so please!" Rinnill raised his voice, yelling at the other in an attempt to push him to letting the anger out, unbridled, upon him. "Show it! Show me just what happens when you are wronged!! How many times I have I done so now?! There is no one more deserving of than me!!"
RINNILL DIDN’T PULL AWAY and his words hit Lorroakan harder than the mercenary’s fist before. His grip faltered, the arcane electricity flickering out in an instant. He stared at Rinnill, wide-eyed.
What was happening??
His heart ached more than his bruises and he exhaled shakily, before shoving Rinnill away, yelling, ❝You’re insane! Utterly fucking insane…!!❞
The adrenaline that had sustained him began to ebb, draining from his limbs like melting ice. What replaced it was far worse : DREAD that crawled up his spine at the thought of what had almost happened… and, of course, the memory of Rinnill behaving like feral beast.
He felt sick. Sick at the realization that without his magic he was utterly helpless. Sick at the thought of death could claim him at any moment. Sick at what Rinnill was willing to do for him… what he would ENDURE for him. And sicker still at the heat that coiled low in his belly, because this devotion was intoxicating. Devotion no man should ever have, least of all for Lorroakan, who was drunk on it, hooked on this drug.
A broken laugh tore from him, jagged and breathless as braced himself against the nearest table, staring down at its surface. Madness. All of it. Fingers dragged through his hair, a trembling hand then pressed to his mouth, eyes closing tight, though a few tears had already fallen.
It was too much.
