//as if this year couldn’t get any worse on me, my 10 year old laptop finally kicked the bucket with fried chipsets due to the lack of a proper fan (thanks to a certain entity in my house). Since I am tired to try over and over again just to never succeed, I am reaching out to you guys in hopes I can get a new pc for myself since this bad boy cannot be fixed. Here is proof of what I had to deal it during ten years
I cannot afford to buy one on my own and I need a computer to both write and work on commissions, and since I mentioned I got tired of waiting to be rewarded just for it to never happen, I want to make the effort to get one for myself but I cannot do this alone since it is pretty expensive where I live. I accept donations through Kofi and PayPal (DM me for it), and I can also try to do a few icons in return on my phone during my free time. Edward waits and listens along with Yarbert, nodding, sighing as it was possibility black ghost could've done this, but considering the brightness of the markings it had to be even longer exposure, like, from childhood.
When Yarbert suddenly pointed at Edward and shouted, Edward jolted and looked at him wide eyes. "Whoa whoa whoa Y-Yarbert I couldn't have done this..." He stammered hands up.... "brother, Yarbert, please think reasonably-" suddenly he chucks a pillow at Yarbert dodges around him, tearing out of the study and into the hallway knowing he's screwed. "I've only got a quarter fae blood! I don't have enough fae in me to even influence Luther's daughter Esmée and she grew up around me!"
"besides! there was like a good fifteen years that you and I weren't around each other. Come on, It couldn't have been me!" He added yelling back.
Yarbert lets out a sigh. Edward was right. As magically gifted the Danton bloodline is even they weren't immune to the power of genetics. He was more dragon than fae anyway so it wouldn't make much sense for-and then he was hit in the face by a pillow.
The scientist proceeds to blitz his way out of the study and chase after the magic man. At this point he didn't even care if his brother was responsible or not. Yarbert was just chasing him because the Cain Instinct was going full throttle and look who was playing the part of Abel!
"I just want to talk, Edward~" He says in a sing songy voice, "Why are you running? I just want to talk. I'm not gonna jump you. I just want to talk. Why are you running?" He does in fact not want to talk.
Edward shrieked seeing Yarbert chasing him. "Yarbert it's not my fault!" He says in way too high pitch a voice dodging and weaving to try and play keep away as he ends up veering right and going straight upstairs. Running into Luther coming out of his room yawning, having just woken from a nap.
"Luther! Luther bloody help me, Yarbert's after me!" Edward cries dodging around Luther and hiding behind him like a fucking child. These are grown men- you know what nevermind, Luther thinks looking at Yarbert who looks ready to throttle Edward's neck. "And what is this about? The eldest of them sighs rubbing his eyes a moment with his thumb and his index finger a moment.
Edward hiding behind him now mumbles out the situation. Which annoys Luther. "Edward Xavier Danton you are a grown man stand straight and stop mumbling. I have heightened senses but your mumbling is impossible." He chastises twisting partially to look back at his younger, yet *taller* brother using him as a wall between him and Yarbert. And then Luther looks at Yarbert. "And YOU. Since you're standing there clearly wanting to strangle him, then YOU, can tell me instead." Luther states crossing his arms.
Edward turned to Allie first, "ah 'm sorry lass-" his words die in his throat glancing to Yarbert. "Ah-" he swallows. Then conjours a mirror about the size of one of those ornate oval ones you'd hang in a hallway or over a sink. To show Yarbert himself.
"Yer uh... Glowing. Fae markings. And the slight glow to tha eyes. That's what it is." He tells Yarbert giving him to really look at himself before poofing the mirror again and turning the lights back on for Allie in spite of her making a lantern for herself. "Id have agreed with ya till I saw that. Humans only get like that if they've had prolonged exposure to the fae or fae realms. I'm talking... Years, Yarbert. Depending on the fae, or realm, and such."
Edward is now very worried about who Yarbert could've possibly been in contact with for that long to cause this. He feels like the answer should be obvious but he can't seem to figure it out.
"....." Yarbert stares at the mirror and slowly runs his fingers over the fae markings, "They look like surgery scars." He opens his shirt revealing more scar like markings. It kinda reminded him of tiger stripes...or Frankenstein. The itch was back. That terrible itch has returned and now he has a permanent reminder of it now.
"Well...I guess there are some things that magic even can't fix. Do you think Black Ghost did this? Or do you think this is my body's reactions to the change?"
"I guess that is the million dollar question huh? What fae have I been around long enough to become one?" The scientist shuts his eyes lost in thought until he points at Edward in shock, "YOU!"

Before finally figuring out what it was about Yarbert that changed. With a clap, his lights turned off, yes he thought that a sound investment for whatever reason. Then moving to close the curtains.
Yarbert blinks back at his brother. Just what in the world was he talking about? He looks down at his daughter, despite the lesson being over she was still studying the many patterns in sigils and glyphs with great focus.
"Maybe it could be your overprotective sibling paranoia talking?" He cheekily replies, "You've always been like this whenever I'm around too much unfamiliar magic." And then the lights went off. The second things got dark things his skin and most notably his eyes had a slight otherworldly green glow to them.
"...I'm still studying." Alouette grumbles making a lantern out of her constructs.

Edward glances up from the work he'd been doing with Allie, showing her where she went wrong with drawing a glyph and that even one line placed wrong changes the entire glyph. "Ah Yarbert! Nah she's never been a hassle." Edward beams straightening as Yarbert enters.
Though, when Yarbert enters Edward oddly feels like something about Yarbert is off. Not in a bad way but just... Different? Godfrey family oddness aside, he looked his God brother over subtly for a moment. Trying to figure it out. "Have you been hanging out with some sort of fae recently?" He asks raising a brow, hands moving to his hips as his mind works to try and figure out the reason that even warranted him asking but still with certainty none the less it to be so.
"Ah, that's wonderful. I'm actually hoping that since she's grown so used to you teaching her maybe she can finally-" Well that's an oddly specific question.
"I mean...I guess? In my line of work, you find yourself around all walks of life. So there's a possibility? What have I been cursed or something? I'm usually more aware of things like that happening?

Working on my story for Edward! His origin, how this man was once a boy. Isolated, alone. And powerless. Learning of the gift or curse his father gave him, and learning to survive in a world just recovering from the last ice age.

Edward grinned mischievously presenting young Ophelia with a box, wrapped in a silken light pink bow. "I was far east recently. Brought you a very fine piece of cut jade. I'm sure you'll find a use for it." He tells her. Inside is a jade scrying stone "happy birthday last!"
Edward:
Edward: So I ended up in a place called Gotham today. Not all that nice. I mean, like, it is nice sorta.
Edward: Big ol' buildings with that retro Gothic style. Nice parks. Very nice galas.
Edward: but the waters there are basically undrinkable, and there's so much smog I'm shocked I wasn't sick from it. And then the crime? I just don't understand it. Like who's the criminals? I watched a bunch of kids in Halloween outfits parkouring across the skyline attacking people, but then the police arrested the people they beat up?
Edward: And those same kid's dad does the same thing and his underwear is on the outside of his suit?

Luther: Yarbert, Edward ended up in a different dimension again.

Edward's gaze snaps to Natasha as a grin spreads across his features. "Hey! Luv, good to see you as always." He hummed coming forward with a pack on his back. "Been traveling around, didn't realize I ended up around you already."

Edward had been out traveling, and hadn't intended to wander into another fae's dominion like this. But here he is, facing down one he doesn't know after knocking into him. Since this isn't his to command any sort of respect, he gaze an apologetic nod. "Apologies, didn't mean to intrude, rarely do I get lost, yet I still ended up in your space." He regards the other, brushing his wind whipped hair back.

Edward just came back from a trip overseas to find Otto at his doorstep before even he is. Not an unusual sight he thinks considering normally any number of him and his friends are meandering his property at any given time of day, he just finds it odd to see him alone. "Otto," he calls out stepping up the driveway with a pack over his shoulder. "Somethin' the matter lad?"

Haven’t posted in hell of a long time. But here’s my newest attempt of drawing Eddie and Luther for the first time in so long ^^
“Right… well, what have ya been up to then lass? Seems you’ve had your hands full? Maybe we can talk about it over tea.” Edward shrugs having a gentle hand on her shoulder, his thumb rubbing gently before giving her space to speak. He’s not been in the best of ways himself, and would be happy just to listen to her talk.
"Oh, that sounds lovely! I'm looking forward to seeing Luther, too! I hope he's been doing well too!"
Ophelia giggles, taking his hand as they begin to walk. Oh, the things that she could tell him. Some of which that would probably make him.....freak out. Especially since it involves her mother getting into rather...forbidden magics.
Eh, should be fine.
“Luther’s indeed been well. He’s… distracted though right now.” Edward sighs but smiles to her. “So luv, your home or mine for tea? I do really want to catch up. Hear how your studies are going.” Edward tells her with a smile.
He knows Ophelia is hiding something, she’s a touch nervous but can’t place where… possibly, she dabbled in stuff she probably shouldn’t have again… he doesn’t let himself frown. He wants her to smile… no matter how much she might be hurting… and hiding from him. She’s choosing her paths… and even if he doesn’t approve, the only way to learn, is by doing.
