PERHAPS he should have waited a few moments longer, to allow the other to rub the SLEEP from his eyes in private. So there he stands, SHEEPISHLY in the doorway ( doing his best to keep his gaze from lingering too long, though that is his wont ). Tattooed hand moves through his own UNKEMPT, tawny waves as he nods, soft smile as warm as the first rays of sunrise curls upon full lips. ❝ I do ; lest STARVATION be the death of me before battle, ❞ there’s a chuckle rolling through the cadence of his words. He hadn’t CONSIDERED the usage of servants, or how used to John must be of them. 

 When John rises, Magni is already reaching forward to offer the BRAWN of his arm in assistance. LAUGHTER in response is subtle, inward and hushed ( amusing though it is, he doesn’t wish to cause any further embarrassment ). ❝ That’s a SHAME – but I can assure you, you thoroughly enjoyed yourself, ❞ a playful wink punctuates his words. HONEYED - HUES trail toward the TRAY he’d brought in, and long strides have him beside it in the flurry of a moment. ❝ I’ve tea as well, I hope it’s to your liking. ❞ 

The wink makes it easy enough to understand the sort of morning he’s in for , and it’s a relief really , that he didn’t get to make a fool of himself . That , and the assistance when it came to keeping his balance , which was greatly appreciated . “ I suppose most people ought to be able to cook some things , ” John muses , but doesn’t linger long on the subject before he knows what sort of breakfast he’s in for . Maybe sausage rolls ? What is MORE CURIOUS to him is the accent of his new friend , far from any he’s familiar with , and he’s heard a few . It’s not scottish , nor irish , and it’s not german either , he concludes while the other reaches for the tray , and John rewards him with a smile while he’s unsure of where to place himself . Was this going to be breakfast in bed ? 

“ Tea is lovely , thank you ” he says , and as the man before him doesn’t seem to have any intention to leave the bedroom he settles back in bed against the headboard , not in the least ashamed that he’s wearing nothing but his shirt . “ Speaking of last night -- I just can’t place your accent . It’s somewhat similar to german , but softer , ” he adds , smiling at him before reaching for the tray to let the bigger man settle in his own bed . And there’s the tattoos , viking patterns he’d say . “ It’s some sort of scandinavian isn’t it ? I’m guessing from your tattoos more than the sound here . ”

                   “Is it?” Christ, it probably is mid-day. Time had certainly gotten away from him, hadn’t it? Again. John’s comment about being caught with his pants down has him laughed, an amused thing that crinkles the corners of his eyes. He finishes tucking his shirt in and gives his own ass a firm smack. “I know it is. We could. Discuss it, I mean.” Leonardo pushes a hand through his hair and ties it up in a loose bun. “I think I have some tea… Somewhere.” In the mess that was his home. 

“ Midday , and perhaps time to get something to eat ? ” No , italians had weird eating habits , and where he liked to eat as the sun was highest in the sky it wasn’t the same for Leonardo , often leaving John’s stomach rumbling before it was time . “ We could discuss it , though then I think I’d need another look to be able to comment further on it . It wasn’t your rear I came to talk about , ” he says , looking around and back to his friend to make sure they were alone . It was their last meeting , a kiss shared between friends , and though he knew it didn’t have to MEAN anything he kind of hoped it did .

              Leonardo couldn’t help himself. He laughed and tugged his shirt up a little, “Sorry. Didn’t realize you wanted the full moon, John. I’m afraid I wasn’t expecting company.” Why should he be forced to wear clothing when no one is around to see him anyway? Anyone turning up at his home unannounced can expect him to be wearing as little as possible. Leonardo stumbled a little as he wigged into his pants and tucked his shirt back in. “Not that the surprise is unwelcome or anything– - I just would have been prepared…”

John snorts , but such a majestic backside has him distracted before he’s had a chance to say that there is no need to cover it up around it , unless the maestro wants to avoid too many glances to it . “ No need to prepare , I came unannounced , ” and now his breeches were a bit too tight , his mouth a little dry , and his hands -- he hadn’t kept check of those , and realises he’s toying with a dry flower from a vase . “ It IS in the middle of the day though , and .. I wouldn’t want you to get caught with your pants down , ” he says , hoping the joke translates well enough as he smiles at his friend . “ But I didn’t come to discuss the view , ” John admits , “ well shaped as it may be . ”
