âThe hooking up of Sawyer and Juliet was surprisingly awesome, made even more great by all the tough stuff theyâve been through together⊠I donât think either of them have ever had someone whoâs backed them up the way they are able to do with each other. The things theyâve faced together have bonded them in ways the O6 wonât ever knowâŠâ
I want Sawyer to team up with Miles when he gets off the island to help him with his âghost huntingâ business... itâs a con that does good for people and at the same time, itâs not really a lie. Perfect for him.
Send âShip Biasâ and I will share up to 5 Ships I have a bias for for my muse!

No, she wasnât thrilled at all. It wasnât like it had been his fault that he had ended up on the island, but considering all the hell he had gone through, she would have assumed that heâd never want to think about that place, or any island, again. But here he was, saying that he was grateful for it. Penny had spent all those years looking for him, and he had gone through more than enough turmoil.
âWithout your help someone else would have pushed that button for you,â she reminded him. âWe could have been together.â They were together now, and that was what mattered, but the idea that they could have had even more time together wasnât lost on her. She was very much under the impression that they could have started their life together much earlier than this, even if he had left her for her fatherâs stupid race. They were always meant to come back together.
âIt may not have been the end, but I couldnât imagine a single thing youâd be grateful for from there.â She shook her head, not entirely thrilled or wanting to have this conversation, but if Desmond wanted to talk about it, Penny knew he wouldnât stop.
Desmond had believed, among other things, that Penny would find him. Even while lost at sea, the hope of her recovering him like a beacon to an abandoned ship stayed strong. But in the meantime, heâd had to survive. In that fight for survival, he found a sense of purpose he struggled to achieve on the mainland, with Penny. That he needed to leave her behind to truly know himself had to hurt her.
His eyes fell as she scolded him. âI know that--but in all the times I left Pen, didnât you wonder? I mean you had to know Iâd never become so unmoored from ye without a reason. Didnât you know that?â He insisted, the question one that still remained unanswered between them after all this time.
He attempted to place an arm around Penny, to pull her in close for a comforting hug. All the time apart left her terrified and confused. He needed to be more sensitive to those feelings. Only the lord knew how much he neglected them in the past. âIâm grateful that time reminded me who I needed to get back to. It reminded me of the love that I had. Dâyou know I had your picture the entire time and not a day went by that I didnât hope?â He and hope had a fickle relationship. He lost it after his father died and only recovered it through nearly dying himself.

Nova let out an angry sigh as her full attention turned back to Sawyer. âI did I hear it. Itâs not my fault youâre old and canât hear properly. It sounded like⊠I dunno footsteps maybe?â
The last thing Nova wanted was to have to go lug rocks again. Sure, theyâd get confirmation if Kate was okay or not but it was hot and exhausting, and it made Nova feel lightheaded. She quietly listened to see if she heard the noise again. But there was nothing. Leaning her head gently against the taller platform she looked back at Sawyer again. âMaybe⊠Maybe whoever it was went to go check on Mr. Shep- I mean Dr. Shepard?â She said catching her own mistake this time.Â
Her stomach growled, loudly. She wrapped her arms around her middle as if that would at all muffled the sound. It was possible that maybe the sound wasnât anything other than her delirious brain playing tricks. But Nova wasnât about to give Sawyer the satisfaction of admitting such out loud.Â
Sawyer rolled his eyes but listened again, harder this time. He picked up a rock to protect himself just in case but he heard nary a shufflinâ footstep or a distant voice to match her supposed observations. After becominâ satisfied they were safe, he narrowed his eyes at her. âI ainât that old sunsh--Nova,â he replied, rushing to correct his notably ironic nickname. âAnd there ainât nothinâ out there either.â
He suppressed a chuckle as she referred to the Doc as casually as a parent at a PTA meeting. Oh how he wished their smug leader was around to hear that. âWe donât even know where they took the Doc he pointed out.â Her stomach was so loud that even he heard a gurgle or two from where he stood. âAnd if I was so old, I wouldnât be able to hear your empty stomach all the way over here. Eat the damn fish biscuit!â He insisted a bit more loudly this time. With a crack, he threw the rock heâd been holding against the ground out of sheer frustration. He didnât want to yell at the girl but she was startinâ to stress him out.
