You should be a pirate!
You like to have some fun with Halloween. It’s your time to put on a character, talk in a funny voice, and demand as much candy as humanly possible. That’s why you should be a pirate: thievin’ on the high seas of sugar!
You’re also not the most invested in creating a fancy costume, so a pirate is perfect for you: put on some wide legged pants and a loose blouse, and you’re basically set. Time to get pirating!

Now that offer caught Trixie’s attention. She hummed as she snuggled back into the bed and her lover’s warmth. “I suppose I could be persuaded to join you in a shower.” She murmured, pressing a kiss to KyAnne’s upper arm. “But what’s this favor you speak of?” She questioned.
-
“Raven almost drowned herself yesterday.” KyAnne sighed, wrapping her arm back around Trixie’s middle as the younger woman nestled back into her side. “Would you mind maybe giving her a lesson or two? I doubt they’ll do alot of water again this games, but you never know. Please?” They usually didn’t ask for one another’s help when it came to their tributes, but this was something KyAnne genuinely couldn’t help Raven with.
bcdblccd:
Raven could feel her breath and heartrate slowly becoming regular again. “If she wanted something really out there then she should have put Sponsors in the Arena.” She muttered under her breath. Raven pushed herself up out of the pool and grabbed a towel that was offered to her by an Avox. “Do you think there only being twelve Tributes is an advantage or disadvantage?” She asked as she toweled herself off.
-
KyAnne couldn’t help but chuckle at the girl’s words. She stepped back from the edge of the pool when Raven made it out of the pool. “It could go either way. Either only twelve tributes there’s less competition. Less competition means that perhaps the sponsors will be a little more willing to sponsor tributes. The games might end sooner too.” Less deaths to gegt through would surely relate to a short games, right?
bcdblccd:
“Well I guess I’m fucked if it’s a water Arena.” Raven rested her arms on the side of the pool as she tried to catch her breath. “What do you think the Arena will be?” She pushed herself up to sit on the edge of the pool. “There was water last year, they wouldn’t do water again, right?”
-
“I doubt it.” She agreed with the teenager. “But there’s also a brand new head gamemaker so who knows what she will do.” She was quiet a moment, sitting baclk out of reach of the water. “Whatever she has decided on, I’m sure it’ll be something very out there. Valeria needs to make a name for herself.”

Trixie laughed softly when KyAnne pulled her in. She wasn’t going to complain and pressed a kiss to the blondes shoulder. “And training begins at seven.” She whispered, unable to keep her fingers from returning to Ky’s bare skin under the covers. “And I need to shower and eat before having to deal with the pompous little ass I brought with me.”
-
“And I have a shower you could use... better yet use with me.” She murmured with a soft tease as goose flesh raised in a trail left by Trixie’s fingers. “But fine... if you insist on leaving. I need a favor first though.”
Her fingers ghosted over the sunkissed expanse of the blonde’s back as the rays of the sunrise broke between the curtains of the bedroom on the twelfth floor. “I gotta go.” She whispered as she leaned in, pressing a kiss to KyAnne’s temple. KyAnne had yet to open her eyes, but Trixie knew she was awake. She had noticed the slight difference in her breathing, seen the way her eyelids fluttered against the light when Trixie shifted too much. “Training’s gonna start soon and the tributes will be up soon.”
@kyanne-flint12
“Mmm.” KyAnne murmured. So her ploy at fake sleeping hadn’t worked? She was quick to shift over to her side, wrapping an arm around her around the younger woman and pulling her closer. “And? I don’t wanna get up yet.” She peered over the brunette’s shoulder to the clock and frowned. “Babe...t’s not even five thirty.” It was almost a whine as she flopped back against her pillow but didn’t release her hold on Trixie.

Hearing her name, Raven tried to slow her motions enough to find the source. She reached a hand out towards KyAnne’s but wasn’t able to grab it as she slipped under the water momentarily. Pushing her head back above water, Raven tried to use the foam board to support herself and kick towards her Mentor at the poolside. It took work but Raven was able to reach up and grab KyAnne’s hand. Panting she looked up at the women. “I didn’t…I didn’t think it would be that hard.” She had watched some other Tribute in the pool earlier that had made swimming look so easy.
KyAnne was about to call for help when Raven finally came within reach. She pulled the girl even closer until she would have been able to hold onto the side of the wall. “I’m over forty years old and I don’t know how to swim.” And she’d given up learning long ago, sticking to the shallow end of Trixie’s pool rather than trying to learn any longer.
Raven was starting to think that teaching herself how to swim may have been a more difficult task than she had lead herself to believe. Pink goggles cutting rings into her face and water splashing up her nose and into her open mouth, Raven tried to use the foam kick board she had found beside the pool to keep her head above the surface.
KyAnne hadn’t been far but was distracted by another tribute when she heard the splashing of water. Her gaze quickly found the pool before her legs carried her to the edge of the pool. Crouching down, she extended her hand towards the girl, but made no move to come any closer. “Raven!” Gods, if Raven wanted to learn to swim, she’d have to find someone else to teach her. “Jumping in a pool when you can’t swim is probably not best practice.” Her words were calm despite the minor panic that sent her heart racing.

Trixie looked over, thankful KyAnne had found her again. Having Andy bring up the blonde had caused Trixie’s muscles to tense and they had yet to relax. They started too with KyAnne next to her though and she dropped her arm to her side, quietly reaching for KyAnne’s hand in between their bodies. “That’s good. I’m glad she went down without much of a fuss.” Val had only recently begun fighting sleep if one of her moms wasn’t there to rock her to sleep.
-
KyAnne mirrored Trixie’s body, her own arms untangling from where they were crossed in front of her to take the younger woman’s hand in her own, joined hands hidden by the layers of fabric she wore. “As am I.” She murmured in agreement. She could tell Trixanna was stressed about something though. “You okay, Trix?”
“Val’s asleep.” She informed Trixie as she came to stand next to the younger woman resisting the urge to let her hand wander around Trixie’s waist. “Martha sent a message.” She spoke before taking a sip of the glass in her hand. At least if they were at a funeral, it wasn’t a dry event.

Seraphina was on edge. Lysander had been assassinated, the hunger games had launched, Jeanine had been arrested for Lysander’s assassination all in the space of not even twelve hours and to top it all off - Theo’s nanny was not answering the phone. All she wanted to do was check on her little brother damnit. After the twelfth time of trying to call her home, she froze in her pacing and with a frustrated, “damn it!” threw her cell phone across the room. Hearing the door to the viewing room open, she glared at the newcomer. “Don’t say anything.” She snapped, on the verge of tears.
KyAnne hadn't been looking for the young victor, but upon finding her in such a scenario, she couldn't just leave the young girl either. She stepped further into the room, letting the door shut behind her and watched the girl for a moment. "Sera, i can tell something's wrong. So I'm not leaving, but I'm not going to make you talk either. Would you like to tell me what's wrong?"
vix-holt:
Vix nodded. She hated that she knew she had to tell her story for them to resonate with her, she hated that she had to even put her daughters name out there, but if she wanted any chance of making it back, she knew she had to play the game. “Have you any skills you can teach me?”
-
“I’ve been at this a long time.” She spoke. Longer than she’d like to admit to. “I can probably teach you the basics to quite a bit. Is there anything in particular that interests you?”
thevultur:
As Lysander had still been in charge of the Games, only unofficially and without the pedestal, he frowned lightly as the woman gave her feedback. He wasn’t outraged, though overprotectiveness over his work did strike. Most of all, he needed to know details. “Out of hand how?” he inquired, actually needing to know.
KyAnne tilted her head this way and that in thought. Speaking too blatantly could sign her death. She was smarter than that. “There are just times, and for all I know it could have been completely intentional, that things have seemed to be.... more than intended.” Her mind instinctively flashed back to the flames that tore through the arena in the last games, wild and untamed.
vix-holt:
“Well I’m not going to give any of my secrets away, that’s the first thing I plan to do” Vix replied, she’d watched a lot of victors win purely because nobody expected them to be a threat. “What’s your advice?”
-
Smart girl. Not giving her secrets away. KyAnne gave a nod of agreement. “Make the Capitol like you. You can figure out a way I’m sure.” She shrugged, pausing to think a moment. “Whether it’s a good training score or wowing them during your interview. Give them a reason to want to cheer for you, to bet on you. Learn as many skills as you can. If you don’t know even the basics of something then how will you even begin to tackle that obstacle?”
