K I just need to say something about this. Jenny caught her boyfriend cheating on her (was this the 2nd time? I don’t remember) with this guy who knew they were together (and previously, even invited them over for a party), and instead of flying off the handle and/or punishing him/breaking up, she calmly walked over to him, and told him not to hide who he was. And that was it. 

Jenny KNEW how it felt to be mocked, belittled, and humiliated for trying to figure out your sexual identity. Tim was terrible to her when he found out she was into women, and remembering this, Jenny refused to do the same to Max. She supported his transition and was there for him while he figured himself out, even at her own expense. She assisted him in every way imaginable in his journey to self discovery, even if it meant he was becoming a person she could no longer be with romantically. It was more important, and she knew that.

And I found a deleted scene where it proves Jenny never cheated on Max with Claude. So, she was loyal to him in every way, she talked to him beforehand anything happening. Jenny really tried with Max because she wanted to protect him.
