Out of curiousity, why did you drop Conspiratheory? It's perfectly fine that you did, but I've always wondered since it's still a favorite of mine even like, 5 years later. And if you feel up to sharing, do you remember where you were going to go with it towards the end? (I saw you reblogged something so I thought that I'd take a chance and ask.)

First of all, thank you so much for remembering my fic for all these years! And thank you to everybody else who still reads and enjoys Conspiratheory <3

For me, I think it was starting a full-time job and being too exhausted afterwards to have much energy/creativity left in my off time, especially with Conspiratheory having so many (over?)ambitious plot threads to keep up with. And like most writers, there was the constant urge to rewrite and fix everything up whenever I did revisit my fic.

I hope one day I can get the chance to revisit Conspiratheory - I still regularly think about it and how I'm going to tie all those pesky plot threads together aaaaaa

Some directions where the plot's going (in no particular order): small apocalypse localised entirely within your unassuming township, aliens, communists, five years ago Bill fucked around and found out, Dipper deserved that silent treatment, true names matter the circles matter two of the nine are traitors, Bill and Dipper probably kiss at some point because this is supposed to be a billdip fic

And glitter jelly is real. Mabel has been vindicated.

Hi! I only recently found Conspiratheory but I've been really loving the story. Aside from everything else obviously great about it(the character portrayals, the plot advancing at a reliable and natural pace, etc,.) I've been really enjoying your use of mythology(including christianity lol). IDK if you answer asks, but since the form is open - have you written any Fate fic? Who are your favorites in that fandom? :D Have a great day!

First of all, THANK YOU for the compliments! I'm glad you're enjoying how Conspiratheory is going! :D

Secondly: oh god oh god oh god Fate is one of the franchises where I seriously can't figure out my favourites because all the characters are so darn interesting and multifaceted. If I really had to name a character, though, I guess Rin? Largely because my main blog is pretty much just a Rin shrine at this point. I have a thing for competent, snarky characters who're secretly big softies on the inside. I really enjoyed her route, and how much of a bro she was in the other routes. Also, zettai ryouiki.

Also, I am an outlier in English-speaking Fate fandom in that I ship Shirou/Kirei. I just really love the duality of their characters and how they're so different yet similar at their core in terms of motivation (and you can my love for that coming out in Conspiratheory as well). It doesn't help that Shirou is so canonically tsundere for Kirei in HF (admitting you like him right before you’re about to have your final showdown, huh) and how Kirei is somehow simultaneously terrible towards and yet genuinely concerned(?) for him. So if I was going to write something for Fate, I'd probably write something for them, seeing as their Ao3 tag has, like, one fic. In fact, I've told myself that I'll write something for them once the Heaven's Feel movie is out, but I'll see how that pans out with my free time ><
