Leon’s Redesign vs Original Design

As the linebacker for the Abbey Angels varsity football team, Leon’s redesign shows how proud he is of his accomplishment by showing him sporting the well known gold and white letterman jacket.

‘Blighted Hearts’ is a narrative driven dating game that takes elements from urban fantasy, horror, and true crime to create a unique experience for the players. Set in the fictional town of Abbey, Illinois, you accompany the small group of friends through their misadventures. From the mundane to the supernatural, your experiences in Abbey will undoubtedly haunt you for years to come.

The Blighted Hearts Staff can officially say that we’ve reached a point where it’s necessary for us to welcome more artists to our team. We have three positions open but that may vary after discussing it with the applicants. The open positions are artists for MC Customization, Background Artist, and Illustration Artist. Since there are multiple positions open you will be working on a team of artists. Work will be shared among the team so it’s necessary that you are willing to do work for positions you didn’t apply for. You will also not be contacted until sometime after the deadline so if you submit your art early please don’t be disheartened if you don’t get a reply within a timely manner. There will also be an interview portion afterwards, so you can discuss the workload, the game and our expectations with the head artist, @le-candy. It’s also to give the applicants the opportunity to reject the proposal if they feel the workload is too much or negotiate it. Full disclaimer that we cannot promise any financial compensation now. If you do fill out the application and make a submission it is of your own volition and with the understanding that you will not be getting paid. Although, we do hope to profit from this game in the future that is not something we can promise currently.

We’ve decided that in light of us releasing the LIs that their clothes deserved a bit more of an upgrade and are currently working on redesigning all the LIs before we release the sprites for the side characters.

         A small town that’s a breeding ground for the strange and inexplicable. The residents of Abbey have learned that sometimes it’s just better to turn a blind eye and to not question things. Lifelong residents like Will, Portia and Leon will be the first to tell you that this is simply the way it’s always been. However, newly arrived residents like River, Reyna, and Vince, say that there is absolutely something off about Abbey. They just can’t quite put their finger on it.

         Whatever the case, you aren’t in the city anymore and everybody here seems to know you. The only issue with that is you don’t know any of them.
