Our generation is growing into a world where texting is the acceptable norm of communication. I do admit that it is efficient in some ways, especially while I am busy doing something, I wish that our generation would just stop and actually look up to see the REAL WORLD in front of them.
When was it okay that the sound of your friend's, significant other's, and parent's voice is better replaced with words on a screen? I can put two different conversations when "LOL" is used together, it's exactly the same. But when you hear the laughter of two different people, you know who's is who's.
Long story short, text should not replace talk. Emojis should not replace emotions. Just because technology is advancing does not mean we are becoming better people. Let me talk to a person, not a phone.
I didn't want to say this on FB so I'll just say it here.
I think the whole riot scene is so fucking dumb. I hope those people who looted the store, realistically, gets arrested but gets their head shoved up their ass since their brain is too small to even function. It's so sad to see people change their behavior when put in large crowds because sometimes, society as a whole aren't composed of smart people. Well I think it's safe to say that those people who looted the store are composed of dumb fucks. So sad to see that the US Open isn't as fun as it used to be before, since it's composed of bros and select fat hoes.
Life shouldn't be no less than a 12-inch ruler when you you can keep going as far as you can until the sky is the limit. There are so many things to do, yet time and money are the only problems for a college student.
Hmm, the things I want to do while in my roaring 20s (but not really because I'm still stuck in a 19 year old body).
I would love love love to travel Europe someday, and go from city to city exploring old cities, visiting places that made our history, and dining my money away. Me and just one other person who wants the same itinerary as me. That's hard to come by though, well I guess not for now. ;)
I also want to visit Machu Picchu also, because it looks really cool.
I would love to see all my favorite bands that influenced my young high school days too, even though I have seen most of them already.
The little things I want to accomplish this summer include getting HID lights and a spoiler for my car, dying my hair brown, getting tan, redecorating my room, and just enjoying my summer after school.
One big thing is that I also wish to be 21 sooner. But we know that will never happen. Why am I such a baby compared to my old-aged friends?I don't ever anticipate the joys of being 21 because it's THAT far away.
I want all these things, it would make me happier. But what if my life was cut short? That would definitely suck.
As I am growing older day by day, I see the ugly side of life. People my age are passing away for different reasons whether it be accidents, disease, or suicide. It's so depressing to hear one after the other being swept away from earth in a split second. They've only lived a fraction of their life while the other fraction would never exist again. I believe we all have a destiny, and fate guides us no matter what happens in our lives, big or small. I just hope one thing: those who have passed were content with their lives before.
I think that's all that matters. Question yourself: if you were to die right now, would you be happy with your life? If yes, then congrats. If no, then do something about it. Change your life so that you are happy day by day because in a split second, your future could end.
First, start with a smile. Second, smile every day.
Did you know the average human being smiles at least 20 times a day, while kids smile almost 200 times a day? Yeah, adult life sucks.
Time to sleep and study for my midterm, peace out.
We all dream big. We want things that we can't accomplish or perhaps have long-term goals that are rewarding once done. I've realized that over the years and months of my adolescent aging that the one thing I only want when I'm older is to be.. what.. married?
I'm not sure why. I consider myself a VERY independent person and I like to be on my own most of the time. But what is the explanation for me crying over wedding videos on Youtube and such?
I believe its the search that one thing that I can't logically control: love. I feel that the moment that I say "I do," I know that my husband will be that person that I can wake up every morning and know that my feelings will never change until the day I die. And this search? I can't guarantee anything and I'm not just going to scoop any guy who fits the profile. It doesn't matter what we both like, or what we both don't like. It doesn't matter if we both just get along, or the fact that he is successful in life, and perhaps even the fact that he knows how to cook.
I sincerely believe you can find true love in any shape and size. But I don't believe in love at first sight. It's something built and sustained over time. It is a tough time to get over that lump of butterflies and excitement. And maybe after some second, third, or fourth thoughts, you'll know. Or you'll figure it out. I just know that it's out there :).
I do this thing where I compare feelings to emotions evoked from listening to a certain song. Some songs sincerely give the feeling of what love could feel like in audio form. Of course it's a very subjective feeling, but it's what I call love. Or maybe happiness. There are some songs that I hold at the very pit of my heart. If someone makes me feel the same way, obviously they are something special.
In conclusion, the only thing I really want to get out of life is finding my one true love and getting married. It's so cheesy, right? I'm a pretty logical person and I usually think with reason (with some hint of emotions because I am, of course, a woman after all), but I want to attain something I can't explain. There is no mathematical equation for it; there's no circuit that I can build or use a compiler to figure out my mistakes. I just know that when the time comes, I'll find what I want.
You know how there are some drugs that get you hooked after one experience even though you know it's bad for you? Yeah, American Horror Story is the same concept. Fuck that shit, now I can't sleep at night.
Phil: Uh, well you know how in a fairy tale there's always a potion that makes the princess fall asleep and the guy starts kissing her. Well this is like that except you don't wake up in a castle, you wake up in a frat house with a bad reputation.
People have different views on music. People may think it's just a great pastime, or perhaps something to fill silence. Others may make it their life and make it a part of who they are. Almost an identity. How does it feel to lose that identity? And to lose a part of yourself?
I got a bad virus that wiped out my computer last year. I lost my collection of music down to the last bytes. Just kidding about that. I only backed up a part of it, but the others I lost. To those who have known me for awhile, you all know I went through a scene phase, a hipster phase, an EDM phase, and now I'm not really sure where I am. It's cause I use SPOTIFY now and that shit doesn't replace history.
I slip into little bouts of moments where I find it really hard to talk to people so I just don't even try. Then I feel sad about it. Then I stop caring. Then I become normal.
There are some people that I wish I had less in my life, and people that I wish I saw more.
And one more thing: I am so bad at socializing in big groups, yet so good at one-on-one conversations....
I need some fresh air. With new experiences, New people and new places Cause I'm tired of the repeat I'm tired of schedules Of acquaintences, of "same" But there's not much to keep me sane
