Mercy Doodle Dump 2

A lot of these are kinda old but most of them were made shortly after I finished my first readthrough Reformed Predator. Sunder being a freak ahead!

That one bit where Predaking wonders if Sunder can fly fried me, and it’s made better by the fact that (in the good ending at least - not sure about the bad endings) it’s never technically confirmed or denied

Ignoring the cat doodle, all of these gave me Space Adventure vibes the second I saw them (especially because some of them technically happen in canon) so here we are

I'm currently in the process of printing out Horror Show so I can read it for the free choice reading in my English class. My teacher is so sick of me for unrelated reasons, I can't wait to make it worse. /lh

Also I just generally adore the story. I've re-read it probably a couple dozen times and have been checking it regularly since there were like twelve chapters. I think you do a really good job of writing the characters and staying true to them and I will sob when Horror Show is done regardless of whether or not the ending is happy or sad. Keep doing what you do and may your pillow always be perfectly cool on both sides

So, out of curiosity, would you say that the noises Wheeljack's throat makes are more.. accidentally dropped a fork in the garbage disposal and turned it on or someone put a fork in a blender and turned it on? Is there another way you'd describe it? I need my brain to accurately play the noises when I read the scenes where he makes the noises 👌

I’d never actually considered this! I think there might be a little bit of the clinking sound of a fork in a blender, but mostly it would be some mixture of a chainsaw and an electric saw. When his throat mods are working at full power, they are LOUD.

Here is a video I found of a chainsaw that I think would most similarly resemble the sound he makes - specifically the part between attempting to start the chainsaw and before it starts to rev, kind of in that sweet spot where it has just started up and it making that clinking sound. It would be a bit like that, kind of deep and growly but also with a smidge of the whine of an electric saw especially when he’s eating metal.

Anyways, sorry bout that hehe. I haven't finished reading yet still at chap 25 but all I can say WoW that was beautiful. (I wipe a single tear from my eyes)

Tho I gotta ask, how big is Jackie subspace andd how long are his tentacles? 👉👈

Hmm, his subspace isn’t that big. In the show Miko seems to be able to fit comfortably in there (if subspace is what I think it is anyway lmao) so maybe a bit smaller than the interior of his alt mode where his seats are?

The tentacles also don’t necessarily have a defined length bc I don’t think there’s any confirmation anywhere of exactly how tall Jackie is in canon. That being said, I headcanon that he’s somewhere around 23-26 ft tall (maybe a bit shorter, can’t remember the exact hc anymore lol). The tentacles are much, much longer than his body, so all stretched out they’d probably be around 70-80 ft long. However they’re usually coiled up and appear much shorter, and can also compress into themselves and become shorter. He is one hell of a noodle man

when ratchet and arcee were talking abt if they should reveal the thing with wheeljack to the others i was like.... my foreshadowing senses are tingling + was wondering if wheeljack was gonna have his true form appear to one of the others

and you know what THAT DID HAPPEN

the scene in the cave with wheeljack and smokescreen had me internally yelling (also SMOKEY IS GONNA BE SCARRED FOR LIFE)

Mercy Sketches Pt.2

Aight I’m back with more class doodles

I have drawn Mercy Kremzeek four times. I have never looked at a ref of them in my life. I really need to get around to that but I kind of just try to imbue them with bastard energy and hope it works lol

Wanted to see what Mercy Overlord looked like with a nose out of curiosity. The answer is as gorgeous as always

The next batch was actually made in the middle of multiple shifts working at a haunted house, so they are. VERY Grungy lol

Look at this irredeemable little critter!! Don’t mind the tally marks around Overlord, those were (ACCIDENTAL!!!) headshots I got while working the foam cannon in the house

Possibly the cutest Helex I’ve ever drawn and Helex and Kaon being terrifying murder buddies!! Kaon got especially grungy, I had to tape the paper to a piece of wood and the lead went everywhere I’M SO SORRY KAON (half finished Nickel is there bc I was practicing her design somewhere else and then the Loyalty doodle took over half the page)

I have doodled so much Mercy stuff in class but haven’t had time to post it BUT NOW I’M FREE GO MY SCARABS

Shitty doodles I did on a train featuring Overlord, Sunder, and exasperated Trepan. I had no Wi-Fi so everyone was drawn either from memory or extremely blurry reference images lmao and somehow Overlord ended up looking dramatic as hell anyway

Bonus practice Sunder bc he’s funny

I also have doodles that I made during lectures in class bc drawing helps me focus :]

It’s mostly Helex LMFAO. This whole post is gonna be mostly Helex. I’m obsessed with her character design (including her HF design) but it’s SO DIFFICULT TO GET HER RIGHT so I’ve been practicing! Megs snuck in there too haha

To answer your question, technically none. I am not a big shipper and prefer writing platonic dynamics, so there will be no romance in Horror Show. However, I’d also like to add that every character dynamic is up to reader interpretation (except for the kids obvs). If you’d like to read Wheeljack and Ratchet’s arc as Ratchet slowly falling for his monster teammate and Wheeljack learning that there’s someone who will love and care for him no matter what, that’s perfectly fine! :D

Also AAAAA THANK YOU!!! I am very quiet, reserved, and awkward irl so it’s nice to have a space online where I can be as enthusiastic as I want!
