Birthday Comic

This scanned really badly and I’m sad about that. Might try making some more raw and off the cuff comics like this, but maybe I’ll try taking photos next time. It lacks the subtlety of the watercolour, and that’s a bummer.

Been trying to tap into less filtered words, more raw feelings and things that are on my mind. It’s inelegant and I’m really uncomfortable with how I can’t predict how this will go over. That’s not always bad. I needed and still need to get back to a place where making comics is fun, and this was like having a colouring book, I didn’t let myself think too hard about it.

I’ve mostly been excited about my grey hairs and all the rest that comes with that, and I’m not scare of a new number. The entourage hasn’t been the best though.

Also, just in case anyone is going to freak out here, I’m not suicidal, just taking my narrative to logical extremes. I think about death constantly, but with zero interest in meeting it just yet.
