im still so like. dsklsa MAD at how good of a character first arc yellowfang is and how she rly steals the show in terms of her personality and her whole arc but the erins fucked her up on oots by making her sympathize w ashfur when that is like. completely ooc for her.

like re-reading the first arc i am just blown away by yellowfang, like i have always rly loved her but re-reading her character as an adult just gave me such a new perspective on her and it just……IRRITATES me how the erins decided to write her in the fourth arc

imo yellowfang is one of the side characters that steals the show in the first arc bc of how endearing she is; we meet her as an exiled medicine cat who pushes everyone away from her - esp kits - because of the self-loathing she has due to what brokenstar has become and what hes done to shadowclan, and watch her become a very respected cat within thunderclan and very loved by the whole clan, esp fireheart and cinderpelt. the amount of love and care she has for both of them and how she inspires cinderpelt to keep going, and assures cinderpelt that shes a gifted medicine cat and not to give up, and how her last words were abt expressing her love for fireheart and how she wished he was her son + how thankful she is to bluestar for giving her a new home……man i just love yellowfang. the fact that the erins took a strong character like her and reduced her to someone who excuses ashfur just makes me so mad omg
