PALESTINE ---- ENTRY #1

IT DOES NOT END WITH THE CEASEFIRE

Gaza continues to suffer from the aftermath of the violent bombardment by the IDF forces. Thousands are displaced and many suffer from malnutrition, including children. As winter has arrived, many families cannot sustain themselves in chilling temperatures, given their state of living in tents, with rain often flooding the areas of shelter and lack of winter clothing. Several infants have already died because of this. There may be a cease-fire, but the impact remains, let alone the many violations despite the agreement. Gaza still needs immense support to recover. Their story does not end here.

WHY MUTUAL AID GROUPS?

There is already a lot of aid available at Gaza borders but because they are blocked from entering, minimal aid ends up actually reaching Palestinians. Donating to Palestinian led organizations instead allows people to directly access help in Gaza. Below are some of these mutual aid groups that you can support by donating and spreading awareness.

The Sameer Project

Grassroot mutual aid organization led by Palestinians that provides shelters, food, water and medical treatment. They set up tents, pay medical professionals for medical care, supply waters trucks and more for displaced Palestinian families.

WHAT IS HAPPENING IN SUDAN?

The war between Sudan's military and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) paramilitary continues to cause a devastating wave of violence leading to a severe humanitarian crisis:

-21.3 million people facing emergency level of hunger (Famine in El-Fasher and Kadugli)

-More than 9.5 million people displaced internally

-200 Health facilities and personnel attacked

-A surge in gender-based violence

-Disease outbreak (including cholera, dengue fever and malaria.)
