Create Light & Joy

The holiday season is a busy time and it can be easy to get swept away by food, parties, shopping, celebrations….and stress! This time of year my yoga practice is essential for me to show up as my best and brightest self. My practice has helped teach me how to slow down when I’m feeling busy and overwhelmed, how to come back to my breath and center in stressful times, and to move forward with presence and power after I get carried away with the holidays.

Embrace and celebrate the season by honoring the practices that create light and joy for you. This may mean taking 5 minutes to enjoy a cup of tea before a party, pausing for a few deep breaths in a hectic airport, or jumping on your mat for 10 minutes before your family arrives. Keep your focus on how you want to feel and the energy you want to create with your loved ones, and let these intentions guide as you navigate this busy season.

Give yourself time to breathe and just be. By honoring your needs, you honor everyone around you as you show up more available for #connection and #celebration. Happy Holidays! xoxo
