When I was researching how to safely wear a binder, I noticed how much I had to dig for what I needed to look out for as someone with a big chest. The official sites wouldn’t have enough information, on social media it was rare to see it come up. So I’ve put all the information I’ve learned and researched into this one collective guide.

So I've been thinking about @macdenlover 's "levels of headcanon" chart (about how heavily a HC is influenced by canon), so I decided to make my own scale about how likely a HC is to be true (including different levels of canon) using queer cartoon characters as examples :)
I just spent an hour making this because I was bored. Enjoy. Image description under the cut.

Here is an example of how I would brief some of the character designs in Dead End! Here’s Pael, designed by our Character Lead Riu Tinubu.
I would typically not use images from the books in order to not prescribe too much what our character design team should do. Instead, I’d sketch something extremely rough and send inspiration reference.
Pael only appears briefly in Season 2, but he’s a big deal of the future. I wanted to make sure you understood him and why he’s scary in as little screen time as possible. He is played by Piotr Michael.
Dead End: Paranormal Parl | How to draw Asmodeus and Zagan
From Season 2 onwards, Asmodeus and Zagan can almost be considered part of the gang too. It was always the plan to have demons be seen as a threat in Season 1, and in Season 2 meet them on their terms, in their space, and see that they're not all bad by design. Humans are the 1%, they just wanna eat the rich.
What was also fun was designing queer demons and casting queer actors. Both Asmodeus and Zagan are love interests for Barney and Norma, and so they needed to look cute and attractive but in a more subversive way I suppose then the typical teen heart throbs. Az is fat, muscular, scruffy... a lot of things that many gay men are attracted to but mainstream queer media always sidelines or treats as a joke. Zagan is tall, scary, mean... and honestly we all go through that phase.
I couldn't be happier with how Effy and Michaela Jae Rogdriguez bring these characters to life and I so hope we can explore them more if we get another season.
