It was easy for someone constantly on the move to wait. What about the one who was fixed at one place? Could one know the agony of the other? One who had never stood still. Never needed patience. How could one make him understand that the sun rose in front of the same window every morning. That every day the little rabbit of sunshine hid in the corner of the same verandah, running back in fear of certain death to its cave, much before the sun sank. That the approaching darkness painted the corners of the same room black every night. And the same bed saw sobs strangle in the throat before they were born every day. It was sheer hell for someone fixed in space to wait in tune with the time of a man constantly on the move…patiently…impatiently…living in the past.
