Today in Khan Yunis! This might be our last call, we are dying! Gaza is completely collapsing! Everything in it collapses. There were dozens of raids and three hospitals were besieged in Khanyounis: Al-Amal Hospital affiliated with the Red Crescent, Al-Khair Private Hospital, and Nasser Medical Complex, the largest health institution in the Gaza Strip. People killed in the bombing were buried on front of our eyes in the hospital yard due to tanks blockading the streets, the wounded were on the ground without treatment and there was not enough medical staff! Massacres are still being committed On the 109th day of the war, Khan Yunis, the largest governorate in the Gaza Strip and the one that receives the most displaced people, is under bombardment, and the number of displaced people in Rafah is more than one and a half million people, in an area of 151 square kilometers!! We are facing hepatitis and intestinal diseases in the southern Gaza Strip, and starvation to death in the northern Gaza Strip! Yesterday, people in the northern Gaza Strip began grinding animal feed to get flour! Take to the streets, protest, strike.. make pressure on the decision makers by striking the economic movement! Call for a ceasefire!

Inspired by a conversation between Amanda Tapping and her audience at AT9, in October 2016.
During the first Q&A session, she responded to a fans question, confirming that she had often dreamed in character as “Samantha Carter” chasing bad guys through forests, meeting alien races and on several occasions, there were ‘other dreams’ involving a certain handsome colonel. After the audience went wild (and several members of our fic club uttered the words ‘holy sh*t’, rather loudly) Amanda walked across the stage saying quite cheekily, “I called him Sir… I think he liked it” and winked at the audience, which brought the house down.
During lunch break, it was decided that I would tell her in the second Q&A, that Twitter had exploded with this revelation, and that we had started a hashtag of #ICalledHimSir, which had fan fiction authors in a writing Frenzy and if she, purely in the interest of inspiring us writers, would like to elaborate. (Truth be told- AT had just admitted to dreaming about Jack O'Neill, we wanted the juicy details!) She dreamt of arriving at the door of the cabin ( ‘on a cold and frosty morning, the mist rising off the lake, because people always look better when they’re cold’) draping herself on the doorframe in the pose on the pic ( which is actually her doing that pose, btw) and suggestively telling the Colonel that she couldnt sleep as she’d been thinking about him all night…
“Oh god, I just poured gasoline all over that, didn’t I?” She said, laughing.
“Our shippy hearts exploded” I answered, “and confetti went everywhere.”

Cars I think stargate folks would drive
Jack: Old stinky truck that can be fixed with duct tape and a well annunciated “FUCK” drives a standard because it’s what he learned on.
Sam: a JDM car that can go really fast with minimal effort. Drives a standard to have more control over the speed and sound of the car.
Teal’c: a used Toyota Corolla. He’s a smart man, wants to get from point a to point b. Knows that car will outlive him and all his friends. It will be his Toyota Corolla and the roaches in the apocalypse. Drives automatic because FUCK standard.
Daniel: A Volvo This man was a starving student for years. He owns an easily and cheaply insured car that will kill everyone and anything in its path before killing anyone on board. He drives an automatic because he doesn’t care and nothing matters.
Jonas: brand new Honda Civic type R. Blasts the Tokyo Drift theme for the memes at like 3 am making the turbo kick in on residential streets. He drives stick.
Vala: this. Self explanatory.
General Hammond: Cadillac SUV. Drives automatic. Only goes above the speed limit for his Grand Kids and SG-1.
Stinky Pete (Sam’s boyfriend that made no sense): Nissan Cube. No elaboration needed. Drives an automatic and still somehow stalls.
