Anyone else who Tries, Dies
Meet Nastya and Vitya!
A detective and a journalist in the Soviet hinterland investigate petty crimes and sometimes find themselves in comical situations. These two characters are created from my nostalgia for my home and childhood, when I loved watching investigative programs and running around my urban village. The era in which they live has no clear boundaries, I just see something warm and dear in the time in which my parents spent their childhood and youth.
The drawings of these two will be accompanied by an interesting general fact or story from my life. Since I will never return home, I do not want to keep silent about my love by then.
Happy Birthday @vintagecandy !
Happy birthday!
Although I feel like I'm a little late, here's a present for you and an interesting fact about why this isn't a regular record.
And it's just that associations arose in my head with Elena Voinarovskaya's song "Soft Blue Records" and a desire to share something interesting. It is very interesting to observe the differences of cultures in different countries at the same time.
In the Soviet Union, there used to be magazine "Кругозор" that provided soft music records. There was mostly music by Soviet performers, and sometimes just stories about something, such as radio broadcasts. But almost every issue always contained one or two hits by Western popular performers, which otherwise would have been difficult to listen to somewhere in the 70s.
"Music on the ribs"
It was possible to record music on x-rays, which was cheaper than buying real records from speculators, which, moreover, were also banned at that time. And also this "records" were used by Soviet musicians for self-publishing of songs. This is how rock spread at that time.
(And it also seems to me that I will start a marathon of the TV show "Investigation was conducted ..." and Soviet cartoons ...)
Вброс, что бы хоть что-то здесь было, не более.
Happy Birthday @decaysoul!
I just draw this. I don't know what can I say about it. And I forget how is call some of this characters on english.
