Mhm..yes well I’m in a..predicament at the moment so I’ve made sure there’s no way to find, or in your case, contact me. But I’m so very glad you did find me dear..It’s been such a burden to live in a world where it’s impossible to find someone I care so deeply for.

So I've heard. Newspapers continue to rumor and try to guess as to what your whereabouts may be. I find them amusing enough, one of them, I recall, mentioned Vegas as a place where anyone, even someone as "eccentric", they said, would want to lose themselves in.

I find myself wondering, though, how are you? Is your health appropriately well? Do you find the chance for recreation and enjoyment, too?

I believe I’ve read that one…Vegas is tacky and smells of stale liquor and barf..no one to my lifestyle would subject themselves to torment such as that..

I’m doing…well, things have been complicated as of lately but I’m fine. My health? I’m perfectly healthy, minus a few physical issues I’m “okie-dokie.”

I do find the time for the regular sorts of enjoyment, I’ve been traveling quite frequently but for the past few months I’ve been situated in one place..it’s nice but I’m antsy.

What about you my dear? How are you health wise, have you been doing well in general..are you enjoying your work life? Do you find time to enjoy basic human hobbies?

I'm glad to know you're doing well, and that your health remains, over all, stable and optimum, dear.

As for me... Well, there is a cold here and there, nothing some over the counter pills can't solve.

Work has proven itself rewarding lately. I've seen far more patients recovering from surgery and treatments than I did last year, so of course I take that as a good sign.

My hobbies... Well, darling, I always had the ability to split my mind in halves... So to speak. So I somehow get time for them, albeit, sacrificing some hours of sleep every day. I've started to bake sweets more often, and sometimes I'll even try to sew and make clothing for the children at the hospital. I have found great pleasure, as well, in playing the piano at midnight, before I go to sleep.

But I'm sure, dear, that both you and I would find your own pastimes to be far more interesting. I wonder, too, if you still play the harpsichord, or, perhaps, you've left that in the past?

Mhm..that’s good, I’m happy you’re finding better success this year. Giving up sleep for hobbies…that doesn’t sound very healthy to me, sweetheart. I do hope you’re giving yourself enough time to relax and recover at the end of the work week. I am glad you have things to distract you though, that’s always good.

Giving back to the community, how honorable of you. Music is always good for sleep, in my opinion anyway.

I have not left it behind, mine is actually in my home office..it’s a hard habit to put down, along with any instrument I’ve had the pleasure of playing in my lifetime.

I suppose, besides the inconvenience of my incarceration everything seems to be going just how I planned..I’m free now, and I have almost everything I had before being caught, and some more. I’m content for lack of a better word.

And what about you my dear William? Are you pleased with where you are in life or do you still search for fulfillment, something to fill that ever growing ache rooted deep in your bones..?

Will didn't respond for a long moment, hands in his pockets, gaze hazy with distance. Was he ever going to be pleased with where he was? A deep, painful, agonizing loneliness always slithered through him, like a serpent looking for its next kill. Which, often times, was his heart and mind. Would he ever be understood in this life? Or the next? Or ever...?

With a resigned sigh, blue eyes turned back to the other, neutrality glued to his face.

"I don't believe that's the pursuit of life. Will I ever find another kindred spirit? No, I don't think so. I am where I am because I put myself here. That is the facts of the matter."

Oh, William. Don’t be so woeful..it’s a pathetic look on you. You’re much more than you see Will, you’ve never fully believed in yourself and it’s such a pity considering how smart of a boy you are. Kindred spirit? Now that’s an amusing thought, will any of us really find our own? Are any of us bound to? You can go far Will, you must break free of this cocoon you cage yourself in..it would do you good, you’d progress from breaking free, you’d finally see the full picture. It’s honorable to an extent that you can acknowledge you’re stuck because of your own doing, I hope to help you in becoming un-stuck..if you’d allow me.

Will sighed deeply, bringing a hand up to rub his face. This man couldn't sit down for anything, pacing back and forth, back and forth.

Will took a deep breath, standing in his thoughts for another long moment. It was like watching an internal battle on a bright and shiny screen. He was struggling. With a frustrated grunt, he finally sat down.

"I can't embrace what it is, doctor. It's dangerous a-and wild. I find myself unable to control it when it does show itself. I don't... It's not smart to embrace it. I need something else."

The brunette's leg bounced as he sat there in deep thought, clenching his hands into a fist to rest against his lips.

He leered and moved forward, crouching down to be eye-level with the brunette.

I understand…I know it’s scary and..dangerous but it’s who you are Agent. I can see it, you want to let go, you want to feel the freedom, the stillness that comes with finally being able to be who you truly are.

Hannibal paused for a few moments and stared at William.

Do you know what you are, William? You’re an animal, you are rabid and the hunger you feel is untamed. You hide behind the pretense of being a “good man” and you make people believe you’re soft and harmless, you aren’t and I see that. I know what you are Will.

You don’t have to show the world what you are, I know you won’t. But I want you to show me..who you are. I want to see what you’re capable of and how deep the itch goes..

He backed his head up, a scowl on his face. Will didn't like their close proximity. The agent also wasn't a fan of what the other had to say, giving him a look of "are you fucking kidding me?". He shook his head, a frown sewing itself into his features.

"Doctor, what kind of advice is that? Embrace the fact that I... I may be hurting people? That I may be some deranged psychopath? And you want me to just accept that?"

Will almost couldn't believe what he was hearing, standing up.

"How could you want that?..."

Hannibal gave him a blank look and stood back at his full height after a few moments.

I want you to accept what you are, I want you to talk to me. I want you to tell me what you want, what you’re feeling-…Like I said, you don’t have to yell it to the entire planet but show me. I can help you, William.

There’s no guarantee that you’re a psychopath, many people have that bloodlust look in their eyes and think the way you do and they’re perfectly normal.

Hannibal tilts his head, blinking slowly.

I want that because I want you to stop being so afraid of your own mind, you become so consumed by your own thoughts and emotions that it starts affecting everything around you and keeping it inside will only make it worse.

Being stabbed is usually seen as an act of hatred, Dr. Lecter. If it's not being seen as platonic, it's being seen as that. Though, I guess you'd find some weird romantic, sexual pleasure from being stabbed.

I recommend drugs….being around them enough for them to just accept you’ll be there and slowly introduce the concept.

If you need them to believe that immediately then hit them over the head and make sure they know who’s really there for them.
