OKAY SO LISTEN, a lot of my inspiration for shade's muse actually comes from the arbiter - his backstory is just too fitting for her. but also, she's pretty master chief codded too, because child soldier. so... shade could be both?

between the fact that she is generally soft spoken, non-emotive, and rarely smiles with their teeth, it's easy to forget that they have the same shark-teeth thing going on as knuckles.

shade's leech blades can sap their opponents energy and transfer it to herself. flare's armor builds up a storage of kinetic energy every time they take a hit that she can then release in the form of explosive attacks, like a cross between black panther and yang from rwby. the more you hit them, the harder and deadlier she hits back.

shade is all about precision and stealth. flare is loud and explosive and is pretty chaotic.

shade isn't cruel. flare isn't exactly cruel either, but they are definitely more manipulative and has no problem with killing people - especially opponents they bested in combat. they also will taunt her opponents and too.
