"For being studious and keeping you in line maybe. They worried about you all the time; what, with you being their only little girl. I guess they saw me as the big brother you never had... I like to think I did a good job being a good influence on you, even if we were the most awkward losers ever growing up," Inguk snorted, reminiscing on the memories they shared. The people that once bullied them grew up to be as miserable as ever, with close to nothing to show for it. He was glad that there was at least some form of karmic retribution in the world.

He took the glass in his hand, swirled the contents inside, and held it up to his lips for yet another quick taste. He had built up a steady tolerance for drinking; he could remain quiet and composed, but their society's alcohol culture meant that downing shots came as a second nature to him. "I can always just sleep naked," he said bluntly, and then turned to her with one of those lazy, charismatic smirks he busted out whenever he was teasing. "I won't torture you like that. No, I have some clothes in my gym bag for whenever I need to spend nights at the hospital. You don't need to worry."

Turning on the T.V., he found one of the sitcoms they usually watched together and tuned in, though the show become more of a whitenoise that drowned out the beating of his own heart. Minutes passed in silence, where the two of them decompressed before the next commercial break: "You know I used to hate whenever we'd watch this together in high school," he admitted, albeit sheepishly. "I only pretended to like the show because.. well.." He stopped himself mid-sentence after realizing what he was to say, downing yet another shot. Because I liked you, but the words did not come out.

Her body was honest, and for that Jaerim was grateful; she was like a finely tuned instrument that would make the sweetest sound whenever he’d touch her. He kept his mouth on her, lavishing her breasts in attention as his fingers moved behind her until her bra was unclasped and she was fully exposed to him. He was surprised at how deviously racy her undergarments were, silently wondering just how much sexual prowress had yet to be awakened inside her. When her skin was littered with red marks laced with possession, he peered up at her with eyes that seemed a shade darker.  His face relaxed and his heart thundered inside his chest until he was convinced that this girl was more than just the playthings he kept in hell; no, he was bewitched by her, and she had no idea. 

“I can sense it...” he said, his entire body shivering until gooseflesh covered his skin. Shoulder slightly hunched up and member hardening in his jeans, he had to stifle a groan at the attention she gifted his ear. Then, he pulled away to look her in the eye and took her by the hand, ensuring her with all he could: “I’d like to pass the time with you and you alone, every day. I cannot imagine there being a more beautiful woman in hell or on earth.. if she exists in heaven, then you need not worry. I’ll never end up there to meet her.” 

His jaw tightened as he began to unzip her jeans, and lifting her up slightly, he pulled them off until she was clad only in a pair of panties. He moved down inch by inch, his lips ghosting across her skin whisper-soft as sharp eyes peered into her own, and then settled against her mound. He licked at the fabric with his tongue, kissed at her underwear, and then captured it between his teeth. He blew softly, and then pulled them down. Like this he could see her, and she could see him on his knees, worshipping her body and devouring it as though it was the most delicious treat. “Legs on my shoulders,” he murmured. “You’re going to like this.”

"You're too modest. I know you always worry about asking people for help because you've been on your own your entire life.. always taking care of others, but don't you think your parents would be sad knowing that you visit their gravesite alone?" Inguk inquired in a tender voice, one he only ever really reserved for her. "Besides, I miss the mister and missus too. It's only right I should come with you."

He was decisive, but he would not have imposed on her memorial had she not wished it. For a moment, his heart fluttered against his chest like the wings of a bird, and it was only when he released her chin that it settled. Foolish girl, stupid child. I don't like you, Inguk thought, Yet you are the only woman I-

He cut the thought off before it could properly form and downed his drink, hissing a sound of relief when he placed the empty shotglass on the table. "I called you a brat because you act it half the time," Inguk teased, quickly moving away from her in some makeshift attempt to rebel against any affectionate ideas that bloomed in his head. It was far too tempting to wrap his arm around her and draw her against him when she was too close, so the best way to avoid it was through sitting himself on the end of the couch and avoiding her eyes. "How would you feel about me staying the night? I'm not sure I can drive back after this. Unless you were expecting someone else?"

"Threatened? No. I just need to know how easy I should go on you. Don't want to break the pretty thing," he answered, his voice a husky echo of what it usually was. He smoothed back her hair and awaited the response to a question he already knew the answer to. The affirmative only made him smirk knowingly before he delved into her neck. Thick locks of hair were pushed behind her shoulder as he sunk his teeth against her flesh, laying his tongue flat against her pulse point. He could feel the steady pulse of her heartbeat grow faster as he continued to suck and nip, eventually leaving soft red marks on her pale neck. "Sexy powers? Not many, love. I can show you what we do down under though."

Suddenly, his arms came around her and lifted her onto the counter. He moved his mouth down to her shirt, teeth ripping at the stitches unceremoniously as eager hands worked in tandem to lower the fabrics. He moved himself between her legs and hungered; yearned to digest every fibre of her being into his system until he had swallowed all her energy. His hands then moved to her own, lacing them together tightly on either side of her as he moved her knees apart. "Say the word, and I'll stop," he said quietly, making work of her soft skin. "I'm evil, but I take what I want when she wants me back, and only if she wants me back."

It was one of the things that Inguk loved about her. Despite all odds, Eunji had not managed to lose her maternal instinct. In fact, the hardships she faced only made her more compassionate in the face of adversity. In many ways, she had saved Inguk from going down a dark path himself: she was his family in times he felt like he had none. In moments like this he could only stare with his jaw hanging some, stunned that he was blessed enough to have someone like her in his life. A child? she asked him. Maybe at times, if only for the connection they had shared growing up, but she was a well-rounded woman now, one who he deeply respected and admired on levels far deeper than just friendship.

He knew her apartment like the back of his hand; messy at times in the midst of exams, he could still navigate himself years later like he owned the place. To the kitchen he went, raiding her liquor cabinet for a bottle of soju with two glasses filled a quarter way with lime juice. He returned and found her staring at the picture of her parents, and was suddenly overcome with sadness. He placed the drinks on the table and allowed himself to approach her from behind, a large hand curling around her shoulder. Like this, he could tower over her easily; she even seemed small.

"I want to come with you tomorrow if you'll have me. We can have a whole day planned around it," Inguk said, though his voice seemed a tone deeper and softer. "I don't think you should be alone."

Then, pulling away from her briefly, he handed her a drink and tilted her chin towards him so that she might not focus so ardently on the photo. Tilting it up, he casted her something of a boyish smile and continued: "You're as much as a brat now as you were back then. The only difference is now you can drink and become more of one if that's possible. Cheers, dummy."
