âItâs fine,â he assures, his grumpiness melting away, âMuch worse has happened to me.â
âYeah, I still couldnât deal with it. Iâm not really a people person,â he mused, washing up some more and setting the dishes aside to rest.â
âLiiiisa. Totally. Iâll remember. Youâre the cutest girl in here that Iâve seen so that should be easy to remember. Enough about being gangly. Iâm fucking gangly, dude,â he laughed, âI bet customers harass you all the time youâre so pretty. If I were into chicks Iâd be so down.â
âWait, while Iâm apologizing, I feel like I should also say Iâm sorry for breaking so much shit. I had a feeling that you sorta disliked me because I break stuff, like, all the time. So, uh, yeah. Iâll try not to drop stuff as often.â
Lisa chuckled, grabbing one of the foot stools to sit down on as she unloosened her shoelaces a little, having been stuck in the same pair of black work shoes for hours. âI get that, though. People suck a lot.â
Her movements paused before she glanced up at him, a light blush rising to her cheeks at his compliment. Sure, the girl knew she was easy on the eyes, but she didnât know how to properly respond to a compliment. âOh, uh, thanks. But I am gangly. I never grew out of the long and lanky phase â I just dressed it up a little more.â Lisa shook her head and focused on loosening her laces once more. âNah, they mostly harass me because I screwed their order up or said some dumb pun. â I think Iâm supposed to also say thank you to that, but Iâm not sure.â
