Kinda of a bad experience
So I hit this upscale spot in North Park (the rich side of Dallas) came straight outta my regular lowmiddle-class side. Place was fancy, vibes were cold. Got mad side-eye from the rich folks eating and most of the staff too, like I didn’t belong. Soon as I stepped to the bathroom (less than two minutes), they swooped in and cleared my coffee, water, everything. Message received: get out.
Only one server was real with me, treated me warm, like we go way back. Everybody else? Quietly screaming “you don’t fit here.” Felt that class gap heavy, but I just sipped what I had and kept it cool, after waiting like an hour for my meal to arrive and ate the whole thing; I tipped the homie 10 bucks for keeping it warm with me. And it was a pretty eye opening experience about wealth and social class
