As per this but with the original trash-ship... B3c

homebounddorothy:
Sept 18 and Dotty will have been on tumblr for an entire year.
Uncanny.
September 29 will be the one year anniversary of Stormy and Dorothy’s meeting
A whole year of the worst ship ever... <w<
legion-boy-scouts:
homebounddorothy:
Sometimes I wonder what would have happened if Stormy and Dorothy had been able to meet while they were the same age…
That would be around the time he was fighting tooth and nail for complete control of the scouts. Still a cheerful fellow, but even worse of a Blackfoot slaver and a bit of a bastard.
About time this got done, no? <u<
mojave-barbie-doll:
Phoibe gave her usual charming smile followed by a few small nods, “ Vitus is doing very well, enjoying his new home on the Strip”
“Ah, yes... the Strip. I hope he isn’t picking up too many habits from the dissolutes and profligates...” He smiled back awkwardly, not entirely sure of what to say other than that.
“Dotty, no, you don’t know where that has been....” B[
homebounddorothy:
“Oh…”
Ah, the sweet feeling of guilt. How did he always manage to make her feel this way? It even ate away the anger that had been starting to build up. Shit.
“I’m… sorry. Uh, Jaime and I aren’t like… th-the wedding was an accident. I was just… really drunk when it happened. It could’ve been anyone…” An embarrassing confession, especially to him of all people. She really wished she could just melt into the floor and disappear right now.
He gave her an awkward smile and took another sip of coffee. “You don’t have to excuse yourself, Dorothy. I’m sure he is a fine husband.”
This was becoming awkward quickly. He set the cup down and stood up, rubbing his chest apprehensively.
“I should leave. Keep the cake...”
homebounddorothy:
“Sneaky bastard,” she mumbled to herself. She should have known. She couldn’t keep anything from him and there was nothing more annoying.
“Uh… no… Of course not, that’s… I don’t even… Pff, no.” She crossed her arms and leaned back in her chair, pouting. “No way…
”…… Were you?“
“Mmmm, no. Not really.”
He sipped the coffee and looked up in the ceiling for a moment, as if contemplating his next words.
“More disappointed. In myself. It was just foolish of me to imagine anything different. A man of my age shouldn’t hunt for fawns, so to speak...”
homebounddorothy:
She returned his smile, incredibly relieved to know that he would help. But it was broken by his next question. She even choked on her cake, she was so surprised. It took a moment of coughing for her to be anle to answer.
“Jaime? He’s, uh…” There’s a short silence from her where you can practically hear the gears in her head turning and her cheeks heat up considerably. “So…… You know about that, huh?”
“It was surprisingly easy to find out. Since we last met I figured there was something you tried to hide so I kept my eyes open and an ear to the ground. Pulled a favor from a Frumentarius and ta-daa...”
He quirked a brow, resting his chin in one hand and the coffee cup in the other.
“Did you think I was going to be mad?”
homebounddorothy:
“Oh… well, he was here. In his room… He left while I was gone and I just… haven’t seen him since.” Though Don was very good at going unseen when he wanted to. If they had crossed paths it was unlikely she would have spotted him.
She shrugged and started to eat her cake, muttering, “… he always wanted to go to Vegas, though.”
“Vegas. I have an errand to run there anyway. I’ll keep my eyes open for him. We’ll find him in no time, guaranteed.”
He gave her a reassuring smile before returning his attention to the coffee cup. Who knew something so bitter could taste so marvelous after a few weeks off the stuff? Looking up at Dorothy again he couldn’t help but make the same connection there. Although...
“How is... Jaime, was it? Or Jimmy?”
homebounddorothy:
“Really? Would you?” She perked up a bit in interest and stared over at him rather seriously. Finding Don was important- she had spent countless hours searching for him already, and even more lying awake at night worrying over him. She needed him back, even if to just let her sleep properly one night.
“… it would mean a lot. If you can, I mean. But, uh… Like I said, I’m sure they’re fine either way…”
“Sure. What sort of...” He was unsure what to call himself. Had she ever even noticed? “...friend would I be if I didn’t. I’m sure Fox-Eyes can find him, given if he has something to track him by. Where did you last see him?”
homebounddorothy:
Off one painful subject and right onto another, of course.
“Oh, Cupcake is fine. Sort of chubby these days… B-but fuck if I know how Don and Buttercream are. They’ve been missing for weeks now.” She tried to keep her voice indifferent when she said this, but anyone could tell she was hurt.
“I’m… I’m sure they’re doing just fine, though…”
“Mhmm...”
He sipped his coffee thoughtfully, giving her a glance every now and then. He could read her all too well and there was a clear hint of alarm in her voice that she just couldn’t cover up enough for him not to notice.
“I have a scout that is highly reliable, ergo not a Mars-bothering psychopath. He could track a dust-mite through ten miles of fine sand. I could send him out to find them for you. After all, family is important...”
mojave-barbie-doll:
“ hello Stormy long time no see, huh?”
“Oh, you know... I have been around and about... how’s Vitus?”
homebounddorothy:
“Pssh… right… well…” There’s a moment of silence before she reaches out for the cake and pulls it torward herself. “… I’m not gonna explain myself.”
“Very well. Then I will make up my own explaination...” One that would probably be closer to the truth anyway. “How are the dogs and your brother, Dorothy?”
homebounddorothy:
And there it was, her blush returning full force. “Th-that’s confidential… on a need to know basis… and, uh… it might not even be yours. You don’t know.”
“I wore that one for six years before you annexed it, Dotty. I know every stain and blemish of that fabric by memory alone...”
homebounddorothy:
Dotty pouted the entire way to the kitchen, until she had the coffee brewing. “… Wait, why is the doctor not letting you drink coffee? What happened?”
“Oh... nothing really. Just getting to that age you know, when the medicii start wanting to control everything about your life. What I want to know is why you are still keeping my old jersey around...”
homebounddorothy:
legion-boy-scouts:
“So suspicious…” He held up the brown cylindrical confectionery with a sly smile. “Cocoa and Yucca, family recipe.” <u<
She let out an indecisive whine as she stared at the cake pathetically. He knew her far too well. “Eeeehhhhhhh…… ffffine… come in.”
“Excellent! Put on some coffee would you?” He skipped around the house and in through the front door, placing the cake squarely on the table. “Can barely get coffee these days, damn Medicus is riding my back about it...”
homebounddorothy:
legion-boy-scouts:
“Oh? Making demands are we? And here I brought cake along and everything…” <,<
B///T “……… show me the cake first…”
“So suspicious...” He held up the brown cylindrical confectionery with a sly smile. “Cocoa and Yucca, family recipe.” <u<
