basically the story is that timagorus falls in love with this guy meles, and when timagorus confesses his feelings to meles, meles mockingly tells him to throw himself off a cliff, and because timagorus is so in love with meles and would do anything to please him, he does. when meles sees timagorus’ dead body, he is so overcome with grief that he discovers he actually did love timagorus the entire time, so he throws himself off the cliff as well
