Seeing a few posts claiming TADC using “Isn’t She Lovely” is racist, and comparing Goose to the villain in Coco

I won’t post about controversies often since I want to keep this blog about cool art and my fanfic

And… Goose didn’t kill Stevie Wonder, nor did she or glitch take credit for the song. Sure, the meaning was changed in-context, but I fail to see how that’s racist. The song’s about SW’s newborn daughter, and has nothing to do with race.

If you don’t like a song about parenthood being repurposed, that’s one thing. But to call it racist is, in my opinion, problematic since the song, originally and repurposed, has nothing to do with race.

Talking with my friend @yummycrummy and realized how PERFECT the scene from the TADC final, where Jax chokes out pomni, was for their Caine and Bubble.

I imagine that, during the pre-Jax Ribbit/Kaufmo era, Kinger was lucid. Before Jax arrived Ribbit and Kaufmo were in their own cliche, and Ragatha and Kinger can be seen speaking in the background quite often. While Queenie is Kinger’s safe space, she can’t have been the reason he went crazy since he was able to comfort and (presumably) care for Ragatha during her adjustment period in full light. Then four circus members come and go, and I imagine these had an impact on his psyche. However, because it was just him and Ragatha, he had to keep it together for her sake. Once Ribbit and Kaufmo arrived and bonded, while they were friends with Ragatha, they didn’t hang out with her. She almost definitely hung out with Kinger. Since Jax sees Kinger as plain old crazy Kinger probably began to lose his lucidity as soon as Jax joined. At this point the circus was big and stable enough for him to not feel the need to manage everyone
