There wasn’t a single time that Leia looked at Katrina or Amos and her heart didn’t absolutely shatter with the intensity of how much she loved them. Although she could say the same about her husband too. The life they had created together meant the entire world to her. She was sitting on the floor in the living room finally admitting her own defeat though as she reached for her glass of wine. “I always forget how many toys the kids have until I decide to go through them.”

“I could’ve told you that he’d be that way with a daughter.” Cassidy laughed warmly, shaking her head. “But at least you know he’s never going to leave. That has to be nice.”
“It is nice being able to feel that for certain, but you know Axel couldn’t dream of leaving you either. You’re stuck with that boy. And I do know that he would be this head over heels for our daughter.”

“Is it too early to go?” He asked, looking around for the keys. “I’ll call our parents and get Kat in the car if you need to go.”
“It’s not. I just need to get to the hospital before this little one decides to just come out on the floor and I won’t be happy about it,” She admitted heavily

“Honestly, knowing how Kyle is I wouldn’t be surprised.”
“Is it bad that I’m not surprised by him much anymore?” She asked raising her eyebrows

“Has he gotten really bad?” Cassie asked with a quiet laugh. “I remember nearly crying when I went back to work just so I could get those songs out of my head.”
“If it makes Kat happy he’ll do anything. Honestly I’m starting to feel jaded by my own child with how much he’ll do for her, but singing cartoon songs is just one thing.”

“If I’d known that it was my only chance at ever being jealous, I might have tried and let it happen.” Kyle admitted with a teasing grin. “Then it’s a good thing we’ve had our whole lives together. We never have to be apart again, as far as I’m concerned.”
“No you wouldn’t have and we both know it, because I wouldn’t have even dared to share you for a second. Because a day lost with you is too tragic, even to fourteen year old me,” Leia admitted allowing herself to be sappy for once until a sharp pain hit her, “Kyle....I think I had a contraction.”

“We totally should!” Cassie nodded, “I know at least I could use it, but it’d be nice to have all four of us together for awhile.”
“Besides I’m pretty sure Kyle could use some socialization outside of Kat. If I hear him sing another baby show song I might lose my mind.”

“I’m surprised he hasn’t exploded yet.”
“I’m pretty sure he has but he finds ways to hide it.”

“I mean, he’s mine by default because of the whole womb thing, but that’s probably not surprising. But I think Rhea gets lonely sometimes, so I can’t even be upset that they’re close.”
“I hate that she’s lonely. I hate that any of us feel we’re alone when we have as many siblings as we do. We should probably have a sisters day.”

“You shouldn’t have told me that, because now I want to know who it was.” Kyle laughed, shaking his head. “It would have worked though. And I’d probably have gotten detention.”
“It would have been entertaining to watch you be jealous, but there was never any reason to make you jealous. Not when I knew it meant me missing time with you. And if anyone knows how important it is to spend time with the people you love while you can, it’s me.”
rheamccall‌:
“A little boy would be good. We could use another one. I can’t believe you’re okay not knowing, I think I’d be too impatient.”
“Honestly I’m doing it more to torture Kyle. He’s done such a good job not bribing anyone to find out, but I don’t think I’ll do it again.”

“Well, yeah..does saying that out loud make me a bad person?”
“No, because Parker is clearly Rhea’s favorite. It’s kind of sad.”

“Oh, I remember them. I used to laugh at them for thinking they would have a chance.”
“Especially when I knew that I already have the hottest date. Why would I bother not having you by my side when I knew I’d be miserable? I will admit though I considered it one time to make you jealous.”

“You’re handling it better than I would. Do you guys have names picked yet?”
“Amos Scott and Freya Lydia depending on the gender. Personally I’m pulling for a little Amos.”

“You’re the best, you know that right?”
“I’m your favorite sister though, right?”

“Couldn’t you induce if it gets too bad? That’s a thing that can happen, right?”
“I could, but I want to give the baby the time it needs. I’m just impatient.”

“There were other girls? Funny, I didn’t notice. I guess it’s a good thing we’re married then.”
“Supposedly there’s an entire world around us that we rarely ever noticed, Mr. Charleston. Supposedly there were guys that asked me to dances that I don’t even remember.”
