“I’m just happy that you’re actually happy about it,” He was always afraid of what would happen the day that it happened. He always figured he would be the one over the moon, meanwhile she would only be happy for him. “We can freak out together, and then go to Cassie and Leia and beg for information.”

“I’m feeling a lot of things right now, it’s a little hard to tell them all apart.” Rhea admitted, wrapping an arm across her stomach. It was too early to be showing, but she couldn’t help it. “Actually, I don’t know that I want to yet. The minute I ask for advice it’s all we’ll be getting, and I like the idea of being able to have it be just ours for a little bit.”

“Oh no I was more thinking your food choices are the weirdest thing about you,” He admitted trying to cheer her up for the moment as he settled down beside her before her words actually hit him. He knew that they always said they didn’t want children but he knew that if it happened he would love their child. He couldn’t help the smile that he was fighting as he looked at his wife. He knew that he shouldn’t be as excited as he was but he was trying to hold it back knowing that she might not feel the same way he did. “How are you feeling about it? Or in general? Do I need to go get you anything, babe.”

“Yeah, whatever.” Rhea rolled her eyes with a weak smile. “No, I’m alright actually. I’m not feeling sick or anything. I went to my sister’s yesterday because I was admittedly pretty freaked and couldn’t stop spiraling, but I feel better. Knowing it’s official made me feel more peaceful and I’m actually happy about it.” She admitted with a shrug. “Okay, I’m sitll a little freaked out but it’s the good sort, I think.”

Secrets weren’t a thing they had between each other which was why he knew something huge was going on, but he didn’t want to pressure her. He knew when the time came she would tell him what was going on. All he could do was show her that he was still there for her not going anywhere. “Rhea, you’re a freak every single day it’s what I love the most about you. It matches my freak. I just figure there’s something brewing in that gorgeous head of yours and a reminder that I love you and I’m here never goes terribly. Whenever you want to talk I’m here.”

“I know, that hearing voices thing is weird.” Rhea joked, but it fell flat. For once her heart wasn’t in it and her mind was far off and somewhere else entirely. “I went to the doctor a few days ago. I missed my period last month, which you know...hasn’t happened since I started getting it,” she sighed. No secrets for twenty years and there was no reason to start now. “They called back yesterday, I’m not dying or anything. But our miracle birth control has finally failed, and now we’re having a baby.”

Theo knew his wife well enough to know when something was wrong with her. He could read her so easily that she rarely even needed to open her mouth. It’s why he had went out that morning to make sure he had her favorite breakfast and coffee in his hands when he walked through the door knowing she would be awake by the time he returned. “I got your favorites,” He assured her as he leaned down to press a kiss to her forehead before handing over her breakfast.

They had been best friends long before they got married, which usually was a good thing. It meant there were never any secrets between them and Rhea loved that more than nearly anything, but right now it was difficult. She still couldn’t wrap her mind around it, really. She smiled when she saw him, taking the breakfast and resting it in her lap. “I love you. Even when I’m acting like a freak.”

The news had been swarming in her mind for hours. Ever since she had gotten confirmation it was really happening. It was really only a matter of time and they’d gotten lucky it hadn’t for so many years but now it was, and she didn’t know how to react. Rhea had been sitting still for what felt like that entire time, clicking her nails together, thoughts going a hundred miles an hour in a circle.

“I feel like we need one soon. Or at least I do, but because of that whole ‘until death do us part’ thing you’re pretty much locked and loaded into that too.”

“I’m pretty sure I am bad,” Parker reminded his sister as he rolled his eyes.

“You are, but you aren’t as bad as you think you are.”

“I’m pretty sure he has but he finds ways to hide it.”

“Honestly, knowing how Kyle is I wouldn’t be surprised.”

“Where’s a vacation when you need one,” Rhea sighed.

“If anyone is a bigger dick than you though it’s me. But I do know that you never mind spending some time with me. You never let me feel like a burden.”

“You’re not that bad, Park. But I’m glad that I don’t. I wouldn’t want to put anyone through that.”

“Honestly I’m doing it more to torture Kyle. He’s done such a good job not bribing anyone to find out, but I don’t think I’ll do it again.”

“I’m surprised he hasn’t exploded yet.”

“Amos Scott and Freya Lydia depending on the gender. Personally I’m pulling for a little Amos.”

“A little boy would be good. We could use another one. I can’t believe you’re okay not knowing, I think I’d be too impatient.”

“I could, but I want to give the baby the time it needs. I’m just impatient.”

“You’re handling it better than I would. Do you guys have names picked yet?”

“I love our parents and siblings, sometimes it’s just a lot. But I also feel guilty asking them for one on one times when I know others need it more.”

“Park, if anyone understands that, it’s me. Being around all of them can be overwhelming sometimes. But if you ever need someone and the bothering them thing gets too much, call me. I’m the last person that it’ll bother, even if I am a dick half the time.”

“Honestly this pregnancy is eating me alive. If the baby doesn’t come soon I might actually lose my sanity.”

“Couldn’t you induce if it gets too bad? That’s a thing that can happen, right?”

“No I feel with you I always have a place to go.”

“Good, because you do. And I get that feeling. Sometimes it’s easier to fit into the chaos of Theo’s family over ours, just because there’s less pressure. I love ours, but it’s easy to get lost in the noise.”
