“no no this place is great trust me, the school i went to used to get attacked and blown up like every other day,” rory said to the group of first years who all looked mortified about what he had just said. coming here from xavier’s was a very different shift, for starters they wouldn’t have to rebuild the entire place every week. with a sigh he tried to give the next person he saw his best smile. “uh not my best work, huh?”
“Nice job scaring the newbies,” he said, knowing he was one himself but still, he wasn’t as susceptible to freaking out like they were. Maybe it was the fact that his mom was Wonder Woman, but it took a lot to actually scare him. “The faces were kind of priceless though,” he chuckled softly.
Alec lived for the adrenaline that would course through his veins from his training - or better, a fight - reminding him that he was, in fact, alive and this was the side of Alexander Wayne that most were more familiarly acquainted with; the too-cocky-for-his-own-good billionaire with a smart mouth and a chip on his shoulder. It was this side of him here, nose buried in a book as he lost himself to a new fantasy universe at the back of the library, that he was more careful to hide. Alec was always quick to push down anything that made him appear more human, a terrible trait that he had inherited from his father. This was why he always came so late in the evening to avoid the crowds, something he was usually successful at but not tonight. The sound of approaching footsteps echoing through the otherwise empty hall had made that much apparent. With a disgruntled huff he pushed his bookmark between the pages of his novel and sat up. “Who’s there?”
“The Ghost of Christmas Past,” he replied dryly as he walked into the library and looked around. He had found himself bored and wanted to go do something and the library was the best bet of finding something entertaining without having to deal with people. But, it looked like his luck ran out quickly when he heard someone’s voice. Walking closer to where it came from, he raised a brow as the obviously annoyed boy and he couldn’t help but smirk. “Guess we’re here for the same reason?”
“I have to admit…this place is certainly a lot cleaner than Gotham” Emeli’s nose wrinkled as she gave a gentle shake of her head. It was hard to pick fault in clean air after breathing in God knows what for years, after all. “So try to keep an open mind, even if all of the capes get really annoying during orientation week” Were they just trying to help? Sure, but were they also sometimes a little intense? Absolutely. “What courses are you taking anyways?” Good ones, she hoped. Not that it really made a difference to her. Emeli was good at that though; expressing opinions even when something was none of her business. It was simply who she was.
“That’s a good mantra, I guess,” he said with a shrug, arms folded as he looked over at her. He hadn’t been to Gotham but had heard the stories that the smog put other cities to shame and he had to admit he was glad he had never been there. “Mainly sports and ethics, all that fun stuff,” he said with a shrug, “honestly kind of surprised I was able to get away with as many non-educational things I was able to”

Bio:
Born the son of China’s own Wonder Woman, he felt as though there was a lot to live up to. It wasn’t that he didn’t receive enough love, he felt as though there was plenty of it seeing as his mother had been locked away for so many centuries. The only thing he could assume was he felt a sense of inferiority towards his mother and worried he’d never be able to live up to her standards.
He has a tendency to act out, be a little bit of a rebel, but is overall a good person who just wants to make his family proud of him. He is also very rash with his decision making, deciding something’s a good or bad idea with little to no thought put into it.
