Quality time with our family is hugely important to us. We regularly swing by their houses on the way back from weddings simply to, “pass by.” Fortunately, we have have FaceTime and Zoom to keep us connected during this time of #socialdistancing, but it's not the same! The warmer weather here in Michigan has us thinking about where we will go once the quarantine ends. (Because one day it will!) Our first trip will be to spend an afternoon on the beach of #lakemichigan. Our little, less than a year old, puppy Luna has never experience the joy of digging a hole in the sand! It's the first week of March and the Venue3Two Bridal Bazaar has come to an end. We are beyond grateful for the whole experience creating friendships that will last for years to come. So we just did something that is both SCARY and EXCITING. We believe that anyone, but especially wedding photographers, should invest in their continuing education. They should invest in their photography skills, invest in their business development, and invest in their gear. Because ultimately, these investments are an investment in their brides and grooms. So every year we take as many courses as we can, go to as many workshops as possible, and constantly look for new ways to improve. But this year, we did something UTTERLY TERRIFYING to us. We invested in a mentor! Yes, we are now studying under a photographer that we totally idealize. And she isn't just any photographer, she is an award-winning, world-famous photographer and everything we strive to become! We are SO DARN EXCITED for this opportunity and honored and just a healthy dose of nervousness!
