RE: gemstore outfits

People love to bitch about them but sometimes ANet gets it so right, The sentinel outfit is a burn/tank ele’s dream. 21k hp. 3k armor. Tops out at around 38 burn stacks for 25k ticks. I look exactly how I perform. I’d call it perfect. Add in that her weapons are Incinerator and Howler with a Balth back piece and it’s amazing.

I was cleaning out old screenshots when...

I found two little gems I thought I should share.

The first is when I had Ryka commanding the zerg in HotM and I had everyone Koda up. Still one of my best memories as an active commander.

And the second was when Dork Ryka [essentially her equivalent to Superman’s Clark Kent] got bugged running CoE

CUTHXW-Hat stealing art from GW2 artists (and probably others, too)

Today I was browsing for GW2 Stuff on amazon when I noticed some “familiar” GW2 art printed on caps sold by  CUTHXW-Hat:

I already contacted the artists of the examples shown above, one of them already confirmed that they had no clue about this.

Stealing art is NOT okay (and illegal!), if you’re not sure whether a shop is working together with the artist or simply stole their work, do some research& contact the artist!

Has anyone sent this to ANet yet cuz they could probably fund the next expansion for free with the lawsuit winnings. Like 80% of it is the official trademarked artwork.

I may not make much in my line of work, but the real pay is being asked to make some of the weirdest wtf stuff imaginable.

Right now I have 3 new orders I can’t quite comprehend. They’re just... “What!?! Seriously? I... I can do it. I’m just not sure where to start. Can I list whiskey as a business expense on my taxes?” I might need to be a bit drunk to get these designs right.

Normal people lose someone and post a picture with an obituary. I’m not normal but I did just lose a dear companion.

The mark of death. 7 years he’s been at my side loyally providing his services. That crack is the last thing I wanted to see. He’ll be getting a traditional viking weapons burial tomorrow.

It’s looking like spring is finally arriving which means this blog might start being active again soon. I blame angry constipated bears, snakes, venomous spiders, ticks, and rednecks. All of my adversaries who keep me from enjoying the wild. I should point out though that unlike bears, spiders and rednecks are assholes year round. Bears are only dicks when they’re waking up. They’re actually quite wonderful friends the rest of the year.

If you haven’t heard of this yet or just want more background on the story, someone compiled a ton of trailers and footage into something resembling an hour long intro movie. Definitely worth a watch if you like mmo’s, rpgs, shooters, and post-apocalyptic metropolitan aesthetics. I played what I could of the beta weekend and really loved it. Plays a lot like Borderlands in some ways.

I’ve noticed a larger number of posts going around where people are talking about giving up on gw2 and, despite being one of those people who’s also given up on the game, it makes me sad.  I wish HoT had lived up to the potential and the hype.

I’ll just sit and be bitter and sad and salty forever I guess.

I’m living off of my alts at this point. If I didn’t have any personal head canons and a love of creating new characters, I’d probably be done with this game by now too.

I would have done that but I can’t stand levelling. I only cared about the story and now that the story is a horrid mess I can’t even pretend to care about what ANet decides is canon, since they don’t even care about their own lore anymore. They’re lorebending their own lore it’s a mess.

Like I still have a ridiculous number of headcanons and >20 characters but I can’t care about what anet does anymore.

NDA’s prevent my source from any explicit detail, but from what she can tell me, the next season will start a new arc and has potential. Until then however, GG ANet, you’re less interesting than GTA Online. An MMO of sorts with zero story at all.

I seriously do not understand how it would even be possible to play Inquisition without Sera in your party 24/7. She’s like 60% of why I’m enjoying this so damn much.

Sera: Look at you, all serious. What do Wardens do when there's no Blight anyway?

Blackwall: Whatever it takes to keep the world safe.

Sera: Like join Inquisitions.

Blackwall: If that's what necessary. Hey, you're here too.

Sera: (Laughs.) The Inquisition can't be all broody beards like you and Cassandra.

Blackwall: She doesn't have the hair for it.
