Picking the best and worst time for this as tumblr is making insane changes lol Although I don't really interact with anyone on here, I'll do it the big dramatic way because I always get so sad when people just suddenly disappear from the Internet.
This blog will be going inactive.
I made the decision about a month or so ago, but the new changes are just a good extra-initiative to finally type this up. The chance I'll come back isn't exactly zero, but saying “indefinite hiatus” would still feel dishonest.
I want to say a big thank you to all the artists and creators that have kept creating GW2 art over the years, I've enjoyed it a lot & I love sharing what I enjoy. It would be impossible to express how inspiring all of it was to me, and how excited I was every time an artist I wasn't yet aware off landed on my dashboard. While I don't really share my art anymore, there was a time when other GW2 artists greatly motivated me to make my own fan art of the game, and to try out new things.
It's great to see that the community is still here, even though some have left over the years. Also a big thank you to everyone I commissioned / who created art for me over the years, and a heartfelt apology that I essentially only bought gold commissions – I might be swimming in gold but irl I'm just not in a position to pay for art (frequently). Soooo sorry for that. Also, to those still taking gold commissions, god damnit raise those prices. 100G is literally less than 5€ / 5$ right now.
Cheers all, keep on creating, no matter if it's GW2 art, personal art, vent art, whatever. Make it bad make it ugly try something new do something fun share it with the world share it with your friends keep it as your little secret. I've been trying new things recently and it's been helping my mental health greatly.
There's still a lot of art in my queue (most without responses, thank fuck) and I'll probably continue to check in for a week or so but then I'll stop logging in.
