Rabbit outfit inspo
Playing dressup alone at home was probably not the best way to deal with my emotions but its the way I did
Ive been into the idea of poetry themed magic, like the d&d bard but with a bit of a calmer aesthetic. I like old Irish mythology where charecters recite verse and nature reacts to them in some way. I also really like the storytelling culture of the rabbits in watership down.
A lot of mythologies also have stories of using animals pets, or belts or other magic items, to transform between animals.
I think rabbit-girl is a bard, maybe with the folklorist archetype in pf2e.
In an original fiction without a pre established rule set id probably lean in to the time needed to read out loud. Being able to cast magic that impacts plants or animals but struggling to do so in emergencies.
Maybe there is some sort of element of transforming to a literal rabbit and back.
I like that because of the inherent problem solving, its not like a wolf where you can attack everyone and solve all your problems but there are still times where being a small quick animal would be helpful. Being tied to magic item in some way adds to that, there are times it can be taken away or misused.
Personality wise charecter needs to be somewhat prosocial to fill the orator/storytelling role.
Historically that would be a set job someone had, like to know and tell the stories of their culture. I feel like it being an established formal role in society makes it feel too safe though. Maybe the role of storyteller is lost or changing in some way, like the culture is being impacted by an outside force. Or maybe its new, stories and magic filtering into the world and this charecter is on the front lines of that.
I like option two better just because "there used to be more magic" i think is already very common in certain stories.
So this charecter must be an explorer in some way, curious enough to wind up with new unexplained magic and knowledge of stories from beyond.
Im not sure yet what shes doing with the magic. Maybe helping others? Or more selfishly still exploring? Pulling others into a dangerous adventure with her?
Thats where I tend to struggle with writing, charecters and aesthetics I tend to be able to find but actual plots escape me.
