Sem A over!
I am very delighted to inform you guys that I made it out alive! I survived A semester!! I'm on semester break now! I'm still at uni but I'll be going home tomorrow and then start working. I actually have been on holidays since Monday last week (20 Jan) because my uni decided that it would be a good idea to put Stats and Accounting exams on the same day... It was a huge struggle for me studying for both papers and I did try my best to manage my time well but I ended up prioritizing Accounting over Stats. Overall though, it was a success. Although I do wish I had done a bit more studying for Stats. Lesson learnt though. Now I know what to do next time. I also have enrolled to my papers for Sem B. I'll be doing Economics, E-business, Financial Accounting and Strategic Management. I really had a hard time letting go of Spanish. I would do five papers if I could, but I'm not allowed to take up more than four papers so I had to drop Spanish :( I'll be working full time the next two weeks so I apologise in advance if I do not post as often as I will be very busy. I hope everyone is having a good year so far! Catch you guys later ;)

Annoyed
I know I should be happy with what I got but I am just so annoyed! Basically, I had a Spanish quiz today and got an A! That is my first A this semester because I had been getting A+s all semester and this quiz, the last quiz, I had to get an A! UGH! All my friends are telling me that it’s all right, that an A is good, but it’s just not enough for me! I am actually annoyed with myself because I am being so hard on myself and I know that that is not healthy but oh my, this week has just been so stressful and I’ve been so aggressive lately and I just cannot CANNOT wait for this semester to be over.
Sorry for the rant guys, just couldn’t hold it in anymore. I just need someone to understand of how depressing it is for me that I got an A.
I want to enter the studyblr awards. Do you have any tips on how to revise? I have 9 exams to study for x
Here are some of my favourite study methods:
mindmaps • my absolute favourite way of studying, can be used for almost any subject • make a mindmap for each topic • you can link together all of the information, making it easier to understand • great way of summarising lots of information on just one page flashcards • useful for learning terms (e.g. Parts of a cell) • take them in your bag when you go out, and you can quiz yourself anywhere! practice papers/ past papers • ask your teacher for past papers to see what you would realistically get on the exam • highlights topics that you need to look at • gives you an idea of what the exam will be like rewriting notes • try to rewrite your notes a few times, and try to remember more and more each time • eventually you will have memorised your notes • make them pretty! Spending a lot of time on your notes will familiarise yourself with them. (if the exam/test is in a few days then forget about making them pretty, and go for practicality instead!!) recording and listening • some people learn best by listening, so try this out and listen to the recording all throughout the day, you may memorise it just as you would memorise song lyrics after listening to a song a few times! try homework exercises again • homework exercises are useful for testing yourself on a particular topic • see if you can do better than you did when you first did it as homework • they also highlight areas that you need to look at again make fun games • if you have enough time, why not turn a boring case study into a board game! (there will be loads of tutorials online) • after making and playing the game, you will have a great understanding of that topic colour! • colour coding helps loads with memorising, just remember to stick to a few colours to keep your work easy to understand watch YouTube videos on that topic • there is bound to be a video explaining the topic you are studying, it will provide you with a summary of information • you may understand the topic better than when it was explained by your teacher! • you might pick up some extra information that you didn’t know before teach others • the best way of knowing that you understand something, is if you can explain it to others • plan a short “lesson” and teach your family/ friends • it is an extremely effective, interactive way to learn something study with friends and quiz each other • studying with others can be much more fun, test each other to see what you know • your friend may be able to explain something to you if you don’t understand and vice versa • remember to have a good balance of studying with others and studying by yourself
you can also check out my masterpost on how to study for exams that are close together
hope this helps, best of luck with your exams!!

Accounting Test on Thursday!! I would say that I'm ready for it and am feeling confident..., but sadly I'm not... YET. I had to finish a 5-page Accounting homework, do the Spanish quiz and revise for Spanish test tomorrow. Tbh, I am feeling a bit overwhelmed right now but I know I'll get there. I just have to have a bit of faith in myself. But gooooosh Management Accounting isn't a piece of cake!
